This makes me laugh, saw a guy buying thousands of rounds of 556 at Walmart just after the first announcement (for resale). Bet he thought the was a genius until today.
Well, goodnight man. I hope you have a better day tomorrow.
Well this is what should be regulated if anything at all.If this Clown buys ammunition with the sole intent of RE-SELLING for a profit that is very Illegal. If he want to sell ammunition he should aquire a buisness License and declare himself to the IRS as a for profit buisness. But no these scumbags come out of the wood work to fleece thier fellow shooters to make a UN-honest buck.

I'm not quite sure it's illegal but that doesn't take much away from your line of thought on the issue. If anything at all. There is a scalper in my area that actually rents a small building for his venture. He is scalping 22LR ammo though. The local Walmarts and Academy store started changing up their stocking times to throw him, and quite a few others, off their games. I heard it was kind of like that for all ammo a few years back but that was before my plunge into the gun world.
Some of the employees in one of those stores told me that watching older men, many of which are slightly or morbidly overweight, practically run to the sporting goods section on ammo stocking day was entertaining and that they will actually almost mess seeing that. Watching them throw fits when they first realized their hoarding techniques were being derailed was a classic but now they say it's sad and pathetic watching the same people come in and out throughout the day or literally loitering in the stores all day waiting on ammo to be stocked. You can't make this stuff up man. LOL! Freaking losers. I hope it never gets that bad with .223 and 5.56 ammo. I heard it was kinda of like that with all ammo a few years ago but that was before my plunge into the guns and ammo world.
Actually dave selling commercially bought ammo is the same as selling your car.You should turn him in if he is not operating under your city or townships Buisness practices Laws and regulations. This is complete nonsense and it is our job as citizens to act when we see shady practice being delt in our communities.Ammunition falls under seperate regulation when it pertains to PERSONAL PROPERTY FOR SALE.If you purchase ammunition with the "sole intent to re-sale for profit" this is infact Illegal. These CLOWNS are buying with the intent to RE-sale and not for personal use.BUT it is a hard thing to prove with small purchases.Ticket scalpers are also pure scumbags in that same regaurd.
In your mind it is because you are probably someone who does it yourself? it is far from the same because you purchased the car for personal use and registered it in your name and then sold it.And yes if you purchase a car with the sole intent to RE-sale for profit and you do not report your earnings that it is also Illegal and UN lawful. If you want to make a profit do it the right way and get a business License and provide goods and services to your community and collect local sales tax to provide that community with Civil services.Don't screw over those who share the same hobbies and passions.Actually dave selling commercially bought ammo is the same as selling your car.
I am very Disturbed by a lot of these reply's.This is a Firearms Forum and this community is supposed to pride itself on ACCOUNTABILITY and knowing right from wrong. But i am hearing a lot of Comments condoning Scalpers buying ammo that they have no intent of using for themselves and reselling it for a profit.Yeh it may be a minor infraction not reporting the profits to the IRS. but no matter how small the infraction it is still wrong and dismissing it as such is the real problem.
No dave. Im saying legally its the same as owning a car or reselling anything else. You were under the false impression that reselling it was more illegal and had to be treated like a firearm. I was correcting your ignorance. But lets be more judgemental and accusatoryIn your mind it is because you are probably someone who does it yourself? it is far from the same because you purchased the car for personal use and registered it in your name and then sold it.And yes if you purchase a car with the sole intent to RE-sale for profit and you do not report your earnings that it is also Illegal and UN lawful. If you want to make a profit do it the right way and get a business License and provide goods and services to your community and collect local sales tax to provide that community with Civil services.Don't screw over those who share the same hobbies and passions.
