Don't let anyone tell you canola oil is good for you! It dang near bummed me up this morning. I came around the blind curve where you exit off 75 to get on 16. I was probably going 65mph, staying on 75. There was a line of cars stopped dead in both l-75 northbound lanes. I got on the brakes and immediately started skidding. I knew I was going to hit a pickup that was stopped sideways in my lane. I glanced at my right mirror and saw the lane was open. I skidded onto the lane that merges into I-16. No doubt, the Good Lord had his hand on the wheel. I blamed my skidding on slick tires and anti-lock brakes. Not until I got to work did I learn about the oil spill. From now on, it's hawg lard for me!

Running over a big hog would probably ruin your day. All things in moderation. :D Larry

That actually happened when I was still in LE. A first shift officer ho drove one of those tiny type cars--was going through thick fog on the way home--didnt see a near the size of his car--sized hog in the road. Almost nothing was left of his car--and was killed instantly. This happened sometime in ninety seven.

The Officer:( or the hog?

A guy I worked with in Florida hit a feral hog while going eastbound on the Beeline Expressway on the way to visit his folks in Cocoa Beach. This one had a happier ending both for him and the hog. They both walked away. His 1993 or 1994 Ford Escort didn't do so well. The insurance company had it fixed but he sold it right away because it was never going to be right.

Them hogs is tough.

And some people ask why I drive a pickup. Well, one reason anyway. Sorry about your coworker.
