Can't Remove the Front Sight Post

Okay, now I'm really confused. I sent an email to S&W, and this is what thy told me:

The front sight post retaining pins are installed from the right hand side, and thus must come out to the right hand side (pushed from the left hand side).

The exact OPPOSITE of what everyone else says. Huh?

I just looked and measured the holes on my front sight that I removed. The holes on the right are smaller than the holes on the left and I can see where I used the punch to remove the pins from the right going left. holes on left side are .135 and on the right are .115 so it wasnt that way on mine. I can take a pic if you need.
