If I check for small-pistol primers on ammo seek sorted by price, I see a long list of what look like foreign brands before coming to anything I recognize.

Has anyone tried this stuff?

I took a chance on 5K of Murom large pistol for .45 ACP MGGB ammo (Make Gun Go Bang) so my son doesn’t burn up my precious Federal & Winchesters.

After a few hundred, so far they’ve MGGB every time and load easily.

Just go to AmmoSeek.com and look for primers.

I don’t see Murom listed there anymore, but I’m sure you can Google it.

I know zip about Murom primers. As to availability, I am a little surprised that there are any being exported from Russia these days due to the Ukraine affair.

Cheapest small pistols I could find a few months ago on GunJoker were Remington at 99 per thou. Because no one local had any primers on their websites and limited components. Finally found some at a shop afterwards but they were more expensive. As for components and ammo from places like Berserkistan with no track record, just because people are desperate, I am still too cautious to spend alot on unknown stuff.

never had any bad foreign primers. One time about 4 years ago I bought 10,000 Russian LPPs...cheap 10 dollars a 1000. loaded about 800 and hadn't shot any. So sold 5000. Stupid me...They shot great in my 45 autos S&Bs Fiocchi primers??..not a bad one ....yet. I will use what I can find when necessary.

I've loaded and shot over 1,000 of the Servicios Aventuras small pistol primers. When loading with my Dillon 550, the primers don't seat deeply enough to get reliable ignition in my striker fired 9mm pistols. When I seat the primers with my Hornady hand primer, I get reliable ignition. The downside is that it pretty much negates the benefit of a progressive press. If you load with different equipment and/or use a hand primer to seat the primers you might get better results. If you shoot your SA small pistol primers in a hammer fired pistol, after loading in a progressive, such as the Dillon 550, you might get better results. To me it boils down to how much I save in the price of the primers vs extra time to hand seat them. I think that the SA small pistol primers can be found as low as $49.95/ 1,000. Looks like these days, like everything else, primers have shot up in price 2 1/2 times what they were around 6 years ago.

I'm three bricks in on the Argentine SPP and no problems to report.
Using the link just ordered a couple dozen bricks.
I'm hoping prices will someday be lower, but for now it's nice to know I've got plenty of serviceable primers to keep me going.

I just ordered a brick....can't beat that price in today's world of inflation...lol. I clicked on free shipping and it stuck...great deal.
Thanks for the heads up.

The thread piqued my interest so I did a search for "reviews". Didn't make me want to buy some.

I bought some Fiocchi small pistol a while back when there was nothing else. Price was decent. Less expensive than the "traditional" brands. I've had no issues with them thus far.

Just got an email sale from Powder Valley and they have those Argentine primers on sale for $54.95/1000 and they have Winchester small pistol and CCI 500 primers on sale for $79.99/1000 for those who are looking for deals on primers.
