Considering M&P Shield 9MM for Concealed Carry~Any Suggestions~

I would say if you prefer striker fired and want to save some $$$$ go for the Shield. If you like 1911 style or hammer fired go for the P938. My only criticism of the P938 is it's got ambi safety and I would prefer no safety because it's SA anyway. However the safety is unobtrusive and doesn't get in the way. Another endorsement for the Shield is that the Glock Fanboys seem to be shunning the new Glock 43 and keeping their Shields or G26's.

I liked the Shield and the P938, so I bought both. Shield has been rock solid and a sweet shooter. P938 feels and shoots just as well for me and I like that it's all metal, but it's simply more comfortable to conceal and carry to me in a hybrid holster at 4:00. P938 is also twice the price so that may be a consideration.

Well, I guess I'm on the other side of these guys. I bought my shield and thought I liked it. I recently got a xds 45 and l shoot it more accurately than I do my shield. It's the grip. I've tried different things on my shield but I just can shoot as accurate as I'd like with it. It's a great gun but it's just not for me. I'm selling it and getting a xds in 9mm just for ****s and giggles

If I'm not mistaken, the P938 is a 1911 style handgun which is designed to be carried cocked & locked. How would that work without a safety?

I purchased the Shield 9mm for CC and love it. I have not shot the other 2 pistols you're considering but I do have a P238 that I pocket carry at times and it is a great pistol. I do love how thin the Shield is and how comfortable it is to carry. I carry it in an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 2.0. My wife recently tried my Shield as well and is now wanting to confiscate it since she likes and shoots it so well. Might be having to buy a second one before long. [emoji2]

Another Shield 9mm vote. Way more comfortable than any other small single stack I've tried. And it's fun to shoot, which in my opinion is rare for a small gun, and goes a long way for your practice/training.
