Well, I've put pudding in cakes before ... don't know why it took me so long to put it in cookies, but this is probably one of the best chololate chip cookie recipes I've tried.

Recipe:

INGREDIENTS
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups butter, softened (yes, that's one box; one pound!)
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped walnuts (optional)

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Stir together the flour, baking soda, salt, and pudding; set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. (I formed them into little balls.) Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown. (Hint: big batch, use big mixing bowl!)

*pecans instead of walnuts.

If you take everything listed in the ingredients out and save the cardboard boxes, roll the boxes flat, cut into circles and bake the circles, then you would have the perfect low calorie, low fat, low sugar food, AND NO TASTE!

Totally agree, this is how I found the recipe, but if I were to add nuts (the kids don't like 'em) I would definitley use pecans too.

I just made a batch myself. My recipe is just about like yours, only half the ingredients, no pudding, and two cups dark chocolate chips and one cup of semi-sweet. My camera's in the truck, or I'd take a picture with a real nice old M&P.

You know what it looks like, just make a picture in your mind.

When my youngest was five years old, we were at a nice Chinese restaurant. We got our fortune cookies. My five-year-old read his fortune and, turning to me, said, "This one is yours, Father".

I have it in my desk to this day. It reads, "Some men dream of fortunes. Others dream of cookies".

If you don't want me to eat all your cookies, FILL YORE HAND!
Actually my favorite recipe is the Double Tree Hotel Chocolate Chip Cookies. Available on the Web.
