Cool User Names

I thought a rastoff was something Scooby Doo found in the trash. "Rook, Raggy. A Rastoff".

I've never thought mine was that interesting. Couple guys have asked if I was a fan of the movie of the same name, yep, but that isn't where it came from. As the announcer for local sports, I got the nickname Voice of the Highlanders (the team name). It just got shortened over the years and stuck around. No longer relevant, I retired several years ago.

On another forum, I do have quite an unusual name, Ultima Thule. Google it!

Well, ya'll could probably figure mine out. I like snubbies.
I'm also know as NightTrain on some other forums. No real reason for it. Somebody just called me Night Train one day and it stuck. I did finally try a bottle of Night Train wine once. Nasty stuff.

Mine actually has nothing to do with my ability to hit a target. It was given to me by Donnie Van Zant of 38 Special and referred to photography, not firearms. When I signed up here it and number 1 was already taken so I added a 2.

Mine is the name of my favorite Johnny Cash song.
The original he wrote in 1960 and he was never satisfied with it, he did not like the ending.
When he was recording with Rick Rubin in 1996 he rewrote it and he liked it. He stated that it took 46 years to write that song.

Mine is from a nickname pinned on me by some of the patrolmen on my shift. When I came in to give the shift briefing they would say "it's a bird, no, it's a plane, no, it's Bert Man." Yeah, you would had to have known those clowns. They always had your six though.

I am constantly amused at many of the members screen names on here and am kinda envious of their catchiness. Two especially stand out to me. Shouldazagged makes me think somebody learned some life lessons the hard way and reached a level of maturity and the ability to find some twisted humor in it all. Also, every time I see a post by Labworm and see "ya don't hasta call me Johnson" and his love of funkie oldie music for some reason I think of Leon Redbone.

Yep, this place is unique. Wouldn't miss it for even a day!

Wanted to use my real name: Colin, but it had already been taken. Colin hasn't posted in about 7 years, but I still can't use it. Should have used my first and last names, but I went with Cyrano. The character in the play by Edmund Rostand had a large nose, like mine, and was rather sensitive about it. He was a good swordsman and poet; I'm a fair pistol shot and can write prose, not poetry. The historical Cyrano de Bergerac had a large nose, and was a philosopher. He actually wrote something like the incident in Rostand's play where there is talk about a mechanical grasshopper powered by black powder that hops to the moon. Still, if it wasn't so much trouble, I'd ask the management to change my signon to both my first and last names. Post count means little to me.

I'm a Grateful Dead fan from WAY back :) Aye

When I joined this forum I though of using DBCooper, but all of my dealings with the FBI have been pleasant up till now and I'd like to keep it that way....

I also am a Dead Head, still have one of their T shirts which is a little tough to get on I think but not sure. Like their rendition of "Good Lovin".:)

I think;) I was at one of their concerts in Worcester MA in the mid 70's but not sure;). I think they were playing music but not sure.;)

Now you have me playing Dead songs:) listening to "Let The Good Times Roll", "Ripple" just came on. I'm rockin at 0800 hrs.

They did play some great music, "Second That Emotion" just came on.:D

I usually check out the GD channel on XM on my morning commute. It's never too early to "fire up" The Dead in the morning! Gets the blood flowin'.

BTW, I like truly the Rascal's "Good Lovin'", but the GD's live versions are vastly superior. Never heard one I that didn't love. Even a blind man knows when the sun is shinin"!:)
