Just picked one of these babies up, and I think I may have a new daily carry. Any tips or tricks that you can pass on to a newbie to double action pistols? I already found out that a 1006 holster should fit, and have ordered one. But that's pretty much all I know. My guns serial number is EKW8235, can anyone get me a date of birth?

Congrats! :)

It's not to hard to get used to the DA/SA transition if you devote one range session to shoot DA then keep your finger on the trigger and slowly let the tigger forward until you hear a click then pull the trigger again. Try repeating this until you are comfortable then start speeding it up. It's not to hard I don't even think about it when shooting anymore. You can even practice this with two dummy rounds and a empty pistol, you load the two rounds in the magazine then after chambering one decock the pistol. Pointing in a safe direction pull the trigger then while holding the trigger to the rear cycle the slide, let the trigger out until you hear a click then pull the trigger.

Hope this helps.

BTW: We like photos. :D

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the fact that for your thread to be accepted you must post pics! Once you're used to TDA you'll love it; that's how it worked for me.

Post the box/case info and someone can decipher it. Not a bad price you paid, I thought about picking that one up.
