I was in my shop recently looking for something when I came across the tetherball pole that was once a mainstay in the yard when my sons were younger. I had set a PCV pipe in the ground about a foot so that I could drop the tetherball pole inside the PVC pipe thus making it easily removable. It's probably been close to 8 or 9 years since it was last used.
That got me to thinking so next chance I got I surfed on Amazon for a new tetherball and, low and behold, they make one specifically for dogs. I ordered one and it showed up a few days later. After unboxing it I attached it to the old pole and, with Daisy watching me the whole time, I went out and found the old PVC pipe and the tetherball pole slid right in.
I wrapped up the rope so it was high enough that she shouldn't get tangled up in it. Once it was at the right height I stepped back and said "ball" and her ears perked up and she took a sniff. I then took the ball and gave it a whirl and she went berserk. She has really enjoyed it the past few days.
