So we have 2 15-22. Black is the boys. Pink for the girl. I was shooting them a lot this weekend. Seeing how dirty they get and how easy to clean with fireclean

Well the pink had many issues! I gave up on it and used the black to use up some of my 22 supply. I thought it was my last cleaning, maybe i did something. Then i saw the damage on the bcg. Cleaned and tried again. Looks like the trigger pin comes out every mag! If i check it every few shots, the gun runs better.

Off to call S&W to see what they want to do.

Maybe, once it's back from S&W with a new BCG, whack a set of KNS Pins in to stop the pin walk, also in to the other as a pro active measure at preventative maintenance.

Just a thought.

Rob.

My S&W AR 15 did the same thing. Smith sent me some new pins, but a drop of locktite on the pin fixed the problem and I haven't had a issue with pins walking in years.

I'm not sure lock titeing is the right thing to do for the trigger/hammer pins.

Standard pins are meant to rotate (as I understand it) so as to wear evenly because they are a weak point in the fire control group. anti walk anti rotate pins are designed to be more resilient. If your pins are walking, you might have a broken j-spring (inside the hammer) or some other issue. Best to fix the actual problem than jury rig a solution in this case.

S&W replaced my 15-22 bolt no questions asked....
