Got all my snacks and goodies ready for the big race.

My neighbor wanted me to go fishing with him ........
I told him any other race but this one but he is not into sports and had to have his arm twisted to see some of the Super Bowl!!

I just hope the new adjustments to the cars can make a good race out of it.
It's not like it was in the good old days where it was wild and hairy !!

Chevy ?

Have fun.

Should be a good one.
Infinity race Yesterday was any indicator the “racing” should be more than line up and follow me.

Seems the extra power and aero tweaks have put more driver into the super speedway cars again.

Hopefully the race is competitive.

I stopped following NASCAR when the rules changing made it a win via on track politics.
When they get back to the best driver and the best car I’ll try again.

About the only race I’ll watch would be Bristol but I always miss that too.

I'll add that I also watch the Indi 500, as one of the other try not to miss races.

Not really a car guy any more but it has it's moments.

+1 on when it should be the car and or driver vs all the politics..........
I remember when I loved Friday night Gillett blue blades, Boxing ........
Howard Cosell and "Dandy Don" .............
oh well, things change.

The beast on the track! That video clip will be on every website/blog all over the world. Comments will be split and you can guess how.

But hey, why not take a spin. I'm sure every fan at Daytona will chip in $1 for gas money.

I'm around a half hour away from the speedway and have never been in the 19 years, I've lived here. I have been wanting to go to the Gainsville Gator Nationals thou, just keep putting it off.

I usually watch, but we have out-of-town company, and I'll have limited opportunity to do so this year. For years, I had season tickets at Texas Motor Speedway and I got to watch some great races there. I saw Dale Jr. beat his dad to win his first Cup race, and I saw Dale Jarrett pass almost the entire field in the last few laps (he took four tires on the final pit stop when everyone else took two) to win going away. But as "spec" cars replaced "run what ya brung" cars, on-track passing became rarer, races became more boring, and I began to lose interest. Judging from the size of the track crowds, so did a lot of other people. I realize that spec car racing is far safer for the drivers, but it is far duller for the fans. I hope NASCAR can figure out a way to bring back more on-track passing.
