Do not drool on your keyboard!

As I understand ...in the 40s and into the 50s custom grip makers such as Roper and the craftsmen in his employ made target grips that evolved into S&W Target grip shapes we see surfacing on Smiths in thr early 50s.
In that vain, Outstanding grip makers such as Keith Brown and Curt Harlow have crafted great looking
Roper style grips. Keith isn't taking on new work
last I've read. Curt is active now doing Great Work.
Here's a pic of what I call my Long Tail Roper style
Stocks on my 1932 made 38/44 Outdoorsman
Target Model N Frame .. Outstanding Wood Work
from Curt Harlows wood working Desk..IMHO..
The feel and handling w Curts exc palm swells that make it feel like wearing a set of fitted gloves on this big N frame must be felt to be appreciated shooting this Target Smith..w 38 special wadcutters..Like shooting 22s in it 😁
Thx Curt. !
Best Randy..

Curt has made at last count 8 pairs of grips for me. He's also repaired 2 sets for me. All of his work has been as others have said both beautiful and beautifully made. And every single one has been made as I asked him to do.
When I said I liked a broader back on magnum grips to better spread the recoil, that's what I got. When I sent him an AR grip made of plastic and rubber, he replicated it in walnut for me. Just like I asked. He has even let me pick the exact piece of wood I wanted my grips made from.
He makes custom grips, with emphasis on custom. Not one size fits all reproductions. And he does it extremely well.
He's also one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and a pleasure to do business with.
While the OPs style of grip and mine aren't the same, we sure agree on who to make them.
