I believe in it, there is little doubt the north ice cap is melting away fast. But so is the one on Mars. I think what we are seeing is mostly a natural cycle of the solar system. Funny, remember 30 years ago when the weather experts said we were all going in to another ice age?
But I also think the efforts to reduce pollution in general are good ideas, we can't keep doing the things we do to our planet.

My President believes in anthropogenic global warming and that is good enough for me! Furthermore he is going to fix it with windmills and the cap and tax program.

It must be true.

Two months ago, the temperature was 20 degrees cooler.
Lately, it is terribly hot here in Georgia.

Duuuuhhhhhh- doesn't take a genius to figure it out......:D

Also-
You should have put a choice for "NONE of the above"

Doesn't matter, it's Mother Nature. And those of us who are old enough to remember, "You don't mess with Mother Nature".

But I must admit, I did buy an Al Gore light bulb. So if the Earth spontaneously combusts, it ain't my fault!:D

I dont expect most people to agree with me. This is just my opinion. I am comeing from "faith based" not sceintific. Just plain old common sense. I belive God made and planned everything. I belive we are not as smart as our creator. God locked oil in the ground. It was there for eons and when we progressed to the mechanical age yesterday, relatively speaking, there it was. No need for it in all time past. Now we are in the nuclear age. We know how to use it, but dont. France is a big user, I belive something like 80 percent. Why? The lord created man, and said be fruitfull and go populate the earth. Well, we done that! I am sure the lord will also let us be thinned out if we get overpopulated. I also am sure he will unlock more knowledge if he wants to double us. Personaly, I aint worried for a secound about running out of energy. I belive we are close to the rapture anyway. Also there is suppose to be a 1,000 years of peace after that, then he promises the final judgement when all things are to be changed. Hope I got that right. Now, if there is a 1,000 years of peace, that doesnt sound to me like we will be eating each other up! Then again, there also is a baaaad time called the tribulation. I am not planning on hanging around for that either.
What does concern me is the needless strife caused by the politicans and greenie weenies, makeing my life miserable without cause!

I voted hope so, tired of cold and wet. In addition, Michigan has a shore line that rivals Florida. So, if it's true there may be hope for Michigan as a tropical destination sometime in the future.

We ought to go for solar power. It's always there, and if it goes away, we will too!

I believe in climate change. I do not believe in anthroprogenic warming. In the earliest of historical times – less than 12,000 years ago – the area I live in (New England) was under a mile or more of ice. I can safely say it's gotten warmer since then.

For most of the last 400,000 years or so, earth has been a pretty cold place. We're in a "interglacial" period now. The implication is, of course, there is a glacial period due sometime in the future. Take a look at the cycles shown in the Antarctic ice core data fro the Vostok samples"

It seems to me, we're right at the tail end of an interglacial period. Keep your sweaters handy.

Have you all noticed it's now called "Climate Change" rather than "Global Warming". To keep the cash registers ringing they had to come up with a term they could have both ways. Warming, cooling, storming, whatever; they can blame it on climate change and the money rolls in.

Changes in the earth's weather and temperature patterns has been going on since the earth began, and we don't need hypocrites like Al Gore and David Susuki raising a ruckus to raise cash for their pockets.

It's obivious we must have respect for our environment and Mother Nature and protect the wilderness, but that doesn't mean we all go crazy and turn into tree huggers spouting trendy buzz words like "Carbon Footprints" and "Carbon Credits". I get disgusted when I hear that malarkey.

I don't agree with any of the choices. I do know that weather changes, therefore the climate will change. Studies of ice core samples show the climate has changed severly in the past. We wouldn't live long enough to know if its warming or cooling, these things take time. These weather people can't tell us what the weather is going to be next week, yet we are suppose to believe them when they forecast the temp. 20 - 50 years out! Give me a break! What I don't believe is that the human race has anything to do with climate change. It's the Sun,oceans and weather. We're like nats on an elephant butt.

Change you can believe in. :D

Just out of curiosity was that Al Gore light bulb one of those "half bright" kind.:D

Global warming and cooling are natural cycles caused by the sun. 'Man made' global warming is mostly a ruse perpetuated by those wishing to raise taxes, retain a power base and enrich themselves. While there is nothing wrong wanting to conserve natural resources, scaring the daylights out of people with half-truths, lies and unscientific data has be become the norm. Always follow the money trail...

What riptrack44, and others, said. Of course there is global warming, AND global cooling; it's natural. Any impact humans have on the climate is laughably infinitesimal compared to the force of the sun.

Al Gore, et alia, is simply using the anthropogenic global warming scam/scare to get rich.

The question is its own answer. I don't "believe" in global warming, the new religion. I believe in the Resurrection, and not much else.

My opinion is I don't know.

But, being the new religion, we now are faced with a new Inquisition. If you don't jump up and down and shout out your agreement, you're in deep doo-doo.

For what it's worth, I believe in the existence of global warming.

Also global cooling and global-staying-the-same.

What I have a problem with is mankind-caused global climate events.

I've yet to see any scientific proof of the mankind-climate causal relationship and I started looking for one nearly 20 years ago.

To me, "Global Warming" is just another pagan religion, like the theory of evolution is.

I voted Yes. If they could farm in Greenland in the 1300's and have not been able to since Eric the Red and his son Leif were driven out by cold then I have my doubts that man is responsible for much of the change.
NPR last week said that one of the reasons we may be getting warmer is that we have cleaned up our air. Atmospheric particles reflected heat from the sun away from the earth and with cleaner air we have less reflective ability. One of the plans to battle future solar heating problems was to inject more fine dust in to our atmosphere. Hello! Get ris of the concrete which holds heat and require one out of every 10 roads be dirt. Going green in many ways is just a license to steal.
