Hi !
Is there anybody able to tell me date of birth of these two revolvers :
- mod 34-2 : BEY1***
- mod 10-5 : D845***
It sames that mod 34 is not a very common revolvers. Isn't it ?
Thanks in advance

Bonjour!

BEY prefix - early 1990
D845000 - 1975

Model 34s are fairly common in the States, not as numerous as model 36 Chiefs Specials in .38 Special but not rare. You live in a very nice part of the world.

I've red here some posts about square and round butt grips, but can you say if a large wood grip (mod. 14 type for example) will fit this mod. 10 ?
In France, we have a special (non ISFF) "discipline" called "TAR" for "Tir à l'arme réglementaire". It consists in shooting precision, then "military speed", with guns cal. .32 to .45 ,with fixed sights, and without rubber and/or finger printed grips. So I would like to fire my mod.10 for precision shooting, but with a little more comfortable grip !

Model-10 and Model-14 are both K-frame. If your avatar picture is the gun, then it's a square butt and the grips are inter-changeable.

ETA: If the gun you have is a round-butt K-frame, check out Ahrends Grips, they make a round to square butt conversion grip that is very nice. Unless you have your heart set on factory grips.

My avatar shows the good gun. It's a square butt. But I wondered if there was space enough at the back of the trigger guard for Mod.13 or 14 grips. So your answer says yes ! Will it really be more confortable with these grips ?

The larger grips fill my hand better. I would say only you can make the decision if they are better for you or not. But, the only way to find out is to put a set on the gun and try them. If you don't like them, you can always go back to the originals or try something different like a Tyler-T grip adapter, if that is permitted under your shooting clubs rules for the competitions.

Here is my mod. 10-5 pencil barrel.
I'll post pictures of the mod. 34 later.
