Model 617 SN BPR2285 **October 1998**

I had this one for a number of years, but I prostituted myself for the exorbitant amount of cash I was able to convert it into.

It is quite a rarity, and I was wondering if anyone has a ANIB specimen.

I would like to see the stocks and contents of how they shipped.

I loved the stocks on mine. Soft, satin finish. Very nice.

Then again, it's gone.

There were two iterations. The round butt and the square butt.

Boxes were unique also.

I don't remember the exact numbers manufactured. I think there were 23 (?) of the square butt and 18 (?) of the round butt. Or, vice versa.

Show us what you have.

Thanx,

I wish mine looked like that......I hate full lug (heavy , wasted steel) barrels. Lots of days I'm tempted to take the portaban saw to mine.

Would love to see your finished product. Please take before and after pictures for all of us to see.

More to your liking?

I've wanted one of these for years. It is very similar but superior to the 617 Mountain Gun which also occupies my dreams.

I am curious as to your reasoning that it is superior to the Model 617-6 Mountain Gun.

Please explain.
