I don't love the act so much. I don't hate it but I would rather do other things than reload. I just love churning out that finished product and dumping them in the ammo bin. My shooting has increased a bit since I started over a year ago, but I don't regret firing those shots because I know I'm spending 75% less for every bullet fired.

Have a thousand 9MM loaded, 700 38 on hand and I just started another 1000 bullet Missouri Bullet Company 158 grain LSW.

Nice feeling knowing I'm not a slave to ammo prices or the next massacre that starts another ammo drought like after Newtown.

I consider it another of my hobbies that I really enjoy. I don't do much of it this time of year because of the temps, I reload in the garage. When I do reload it gives me a sense of accomplishment that I did well. Then, every time the gun goes "bang" that sense of accomplishment is renewed. I may have too much loaded now but I can always pass it along to my son.

I would love it more if I could find some W231...

I have a pound of HP38, the same as 231. Haven't used it yet. I'm trying to use up my Red Dot that I am loading 38 with. It's all I could find during the drought. It's clean and no issues, but it meters terribly so I always have to trickle in some. One load will be 3.2 grains and the next 2.8. I hear 231 and HP38 meter very well. I am using SR7625 for my 9MM and it meters dead on every time.

I like to do my loading in short spurts of 100-200 rounds at a time. 100 rounds typically takes me about 15 minutes at a very leisurely pace which includes refilling primers, filling and checking powder drops and even changing calibers on my LnL AP. Without the caliber change, 10 minutes.

The nice thing about that is I can slip out to the garage, load 100 rounds and be back in the house without anyone in the family even knowing that I was gone :)

Do that 5-10 times a week and you can have a lot of ammo stashed up to shoot for a few weeks.

I batch load and I'm on a single stage. I'm super careful so I weigh each round. Absolutely have to anyway with Red Dot. Might switch to every 3 rounds once I get confident with the accurate drops. I check every case with a light before I seat, too. I do 50 rounds like that in 30 minutes.

I love reloading almost as much as shooting them.
go down in the basement with the AC on and go at it
I am shooting much more than when I had to buy new
ammo. Got a huge supply of lead and powder, primers too.
Also I can tailor my loads the way I want to suit my needs.

Never will forget the schock and awe the first time I reloaded and it actually worked. Now a favorite hobby.

Hah! I took pictures and saved the brass! I tried to shoot with a winter glove on in case the gun exploded but I couldn't get my finger in the trigger guard!

I love reloading anyway and get a special thrill adding a new cartridge. New goodies such as dies and components really fire up my enthusiasm. Few things beat the feeling of that first finished batch.

Been loading my own since 1980; shotshell, rifle and handgun. I think everyone is afraid of that very first round fired that you loaded yourself. Afterwards, you get a real satisfaction of knowing you did it, and you still have all your fingers! LOL :-)

Sometimes, I enjoy the prep and loading; without ever firing a round. Other times, I'm thankful for the ability to shoot as much as I want to, and know they can all be loaded again! It's an enjoyable hobby and a great way to relax, IMO.

I've said this before.....

Besides the ability to shoot more and pay less. I enjoy the educational aspect and the ability to make any ammo I want from bunny poots to dead elephant rounds and use any style, material and weight of bullet. I'm also satisfied to see the new shiny ammo stack up, having all that I need on hand or ready to be made without worrying about what's available. And I like it.

I used to love reloading. After nearly 40yrs & well over 300k rds, 25 diff calibers, it's become a necessary evil. It's why I have two progressives. I want to load my weekends worth of ammo in less than 30min.
I do enjoy playing with new calibers, casting & coating bullets, even swaging my own 223, but if I had to reload 1000rds a month on even a turret, I wouldn't have time to do the other stuff. I enjoy teaching reloading more than doing it anymore.
