With regard to people being morons and not knowing what they are looking at, some things I wrote elsewhere:
Oh, and one more thing. I can all but guarantee that 95% or more of these "drone sightings" are commercial flights at altitude, nowhere near the observers. A dark sky gives no distance or size references so people make stuff up. Even in daylight the monster quest shows have demonstrated that an object at an unknown distance in an odd aspect will be misidentified as to what it is and how far away it is by most observers.
It is laughable that the few videos that appear on TV all seem to terminate just as the camera is capturing focus. Funny thing, but at that point most show (in my estimation) an airliner with lots of lights on in a descent from high altitude to an airport some miles from the observer. That's why the video stops. Y'all are being scammed by social media whores.
