does anyone know anything about, or have any experience shooting one of these pistols?

price is attractive, but not sure if they are made by Tanfoglio.

I am pretty sure that the Tanfoglio makes weapons for the European American Armory. I think they are like the Mercury to Ford.

After a quick Google search found this on web.
"Tanfoglio pistols are popular defensive and sporting firearms across the Europe. They also are imported into USA by EAA Corp. under the name "Witness"."

Made by Zastava Arms a Serbian company. Tanfoglio is Italian I think. EAA is an Arms Importer that buy and sell guns. As far as I know they dont make them but they might service or warranty them?

i was able to do a little research & found they come with a lifetime warranty. not sure where their warranty center is.

There's a couple of guys who have them on another forum that I belong to, both like them a lot, easy teardown, single/dual action, good shooters they say. I almost bought one but found my sigma at a LGS and got it instead. Buds has them for 252 shipped.

There's several posts concerning the EAA model 88 Zastava over on the Hi Point Firearms Forum in their CCW thread. A search should turn them up.

TrailBlazer Racer X is correct.
Yes, it is a SIG P226 with some updated modifications. It was the CZ99 a few years ago. Now it's called the EZ9. Very good weapon, solid, easy to field strip and totally ambidextrous. It is not plymer-frame gun, however. It is made in Serbia for the Military and several police agencies in Eastern Europe. Very good reputation. If you like the feel of a SIG P6, you will love this pistol. The machining is a bit more crude than a SIG, but all functions are the same. It should be a great gun for you and they are very attractive price-wise. Here's a link for info: http://www.cz99.org/
Good Luck mate!
Cheers!
