I primarily shoot my 460 5" X Frame at the Range. I love to feel the power that this Revolver Generates with my Near Max Handloads. Unfortunately the other Shooters on either side of me are not as enthused with the Bark of the 460. I am wondering if anyone makes a blank Muzzle Break/Compensator that would eliminate the Side Blast to appease my fellow Shooters. I have looked but can't find anyone who offers one, but have seen pictures of guns with such a device. Any leads would be appreciated.

I doubt if eliminating the compensator will appease those next to you at the range. There will still be enormous amount of muzzle blast regardless.

...hacksaw?...

...a muzzle brake is a good thing...

Joking from these guys aside...if you are serious about this give S&W customer service a call and ask them for part number 296840000. When I called several years ago I was told they still had some left but weren't making any more.

I posted about it when I bought mine here

For those looking to get a non-ported cap for their 460..

If I remember right it was pushing $70 with shipping. I use mine all the time on my 460XVR.

And congratulations on caring about your fellow human beings, a quality that seems to more rare with each passing day. :)

That is a nice approach but as was posted, the 460s and 500s are very noisy beasts. I've been shooting the 500s since 2003 and always wear double ear protection. I would HATE to be on an indoor range when someone corked off any heavy loads. Don

When I have uncorked an X-frame on an indoor range... what it typically does is loosen things from the ceiling. In a room that sees blast after blast, all day long every day... the 60,000 PSI blast from a 8-3/8" X-frame seems to loosen dust and debris that otherwise doesn't typically fall on it's own.
