Are all you ready for the storm that is going to start Monday morning and go till Wednesday morning???
My area is supposed to get anywhere from 12" -30" of snow.
This morning all the stores were mobbed . I picked up a few things but already had gas for the generator and batteries also topped off my plow truck and the wife's car.:D

I am near Cleveland, Ohio. I do not think we are going to get as much snow as the Eastcoast. Generator is topped off and function tested, both vehicles topped off.

Most of the time they hype it up it turns out a lot less extreme than expected. That said, I did gas up the Toro and the Generator for a worst case scenario.

I always subscribe to the 6 P's: Previous Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

live east of pittsburgh, 15 miles. it has been raining,5 pm, hail and now snowing. last few weeks, just some snow and ice, overturned veh. daily. tv already warning about monday morning traffic. i like to drive in the heavy snow, but ice, anything over 11 mph and the road can be white knuckle time. everyone take care out there. my friends in Ma. are forcasted for 18 to 34". last week took the gas out of the new snow thrower, maybe a 1/2 hr. run time so far. found out, it is important to pay attention of the wind. if not one looks like a snow man in minutes.

Yep soon time to consider a move south, have no use for what's coming our way.!

Don't like it!

I am on the southeast end of the forecasted precipitation and hope we miss the worst of it. Doing nothing at this hour.

Having lived in Boston, they'll be fine; NYC is good to go absent a true blizzard. But sure would not want to be driving the I-95/Jersey Pike or I-81 corridors tomorrow and Wednesday.

Take care everyone...

Be safe.

I'm a lineman for the power company....... guess what I'll be doing

I know. Been there. Bashlins or Kleins, a belt, and a prayer. Get cha some of those close out hand heaters at Wally world for your gloves and boots. I worked outside early 70's way before bucket trucks. Men had hairy chests and hooked all poles. We were dumb.

The last week I worked outside we got an ice storm from maybe antartica. I had bid an inside job and got it. The last pole I climbed was covered by 1/2" of ice. I got halfway up and the pole had twists I started slipping and I headed back down.

My gloves were freezing to the pole. I pulled them off one at a time with my teeth and dropped them. I almost froze my hands coming down, it took forever, one wrong move and you know. Standing on the ground I looked at where my hooks had hit the pole, None had penetrated the ice to the wood.

The folks who's phone was out watched the whole deal, when I was down they yelled we thought you was gonna kill yourself. Let it go until this melts.

You sir be careful.
