Well since I'm scared to death to shoot my suuply of 9mm or .38 for fear of not being able to replace it I have made some changes to my routine. I normally run 3 miles every other day and work the heavy bag on the off days. I would usually shoot 3 or 4 hundred rounds a week. Now when I run I finish at the 25 yard line from the bullet trap and fire 6 rounds(2 kneeling, 2 standing from the right side of cover and 2 standing from the left side of cover). It helps me to concentrate on the fundamentals while under physical stress. But I only get to shoot 6 rounds every other day. Tough 6 rounds when your sucking wind.

Anybody else had to modify their personal training habits?

Man...ammo is so scarce that people are going back to karate!

I'm training more with the weights and the mountain bike...and it's fishing season so I go out on the boat every chance I get.

Just be careful you don't have one of the dreaded "boating accidents" & lose all your guns! Seems to be a fairly common event around here...:eek::D

You All may Laugh at this

But I practice my Hand/Eye coordination
with an old Nintendo Game System & Shooting Range Game

I either walk a minimum of 12,000 steps daily or I jog for 45-60 minutes. I usually am carrying a M-1 Garand at port-arms. If I jog up through time, I substitute two 10 lb. weights. Does wonders for one's grip on a handgun... or a golf club. Circumstances are such that actual practice w/ a handgun while walking/jogging is not possible.

Im debating on buying an airsoft replica a practicing in my basement.

Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2

I just got approval to purchase airsoft gear for training in our department. Mostly for active shooter scenarios. Much cheaper than simunitions.

Winter has had more to do with my lack of practice, recently, than lack of ammo.
One range I use may not open till June this year since the road is a
minor swamp for a while after the snow melts.

Another should be open now but I haven't gotten there to check yet.

Since total knee replacement over one year ago, I try to walk 3 miles a day (1 mile at a time x 3) ride my bike 8 miles every other day, and do 12 oz. curls every night while watching baseball games on TV.
I target shoot with a air rifle in my back yard using my recycled 12 oz. cans for targets. :D
