Just made a deal with a gunshop for 2 pre-lock 617's with combat grips....no boxes...and both 6".....think i got a real good deal.

at first i was just going to get one but i couldnt make up my mind and then i made the mistake of asking if they would throw in the shipping if i took both, and they did! So, i will more than likely pick the one i like the best and; either offer the second gun on the site or offer it to a friend of mine who will probably want it.

just thought i would share.

Good move on the pair. I have a six inch now and would take another if the deal was right. A good pre lock 617 is a must have....A pair of them is even better!

i thought it was too good to pass up....had one of those "flashbacks" of a past experience where i should have went ahead and bought 2 instead of 1.....well today i decided i wasnt going to let that happen again :)

VERY nice snag!

I had a shot at a pair of 29-2's a few years back ,sight unseen at a shop about 3 hours away. The asking price per gun was more than fair, so figured I'd do exactly what you mentioned...look at both, take one...move the other.

Turned out my two were consecutively numbered...needless to say I kept both. Check the serials on your two. Ya never know!!

i have been thinking about the sn's....that will really throw a wrench in my plans if they are consecutive....oh well, the more the merrier!

Here are my non identical twins.....one's a little shorter than the other.

How much for the 6" with the finger groove grips? PM me plz.

the twins have arrived! i picked them up during my lunch hour. they are both wearing very, very nice combat grips. no scuffs or dents in the guns or the grips. however, one of them does have a few tiny, tiny specks that look like light rust........will FLITZ take care of this? i imagine it will....other than that they are really awesome.

pictures to follow when i get off work....

rust on a SS gun??...hmmm

yes you can flitz it but then you will have to polish the entire gun...might as well make it sparkle...

I have the 8 3/8" barreled 617-1 with a Leupold 2.5-8 variX Pistol scope..its a tack driver and loads of fun

enjoy yours

although not common and hard to occur, stainless guns can and do rust when not taken care of....it is very minor, i am just very anal about stuff like that so i noticed it.
