The gun looks great but I'm kinda bummed that there are no interchangable backstraps. That was a major factor in my FS M&P purchase. Anyone else feel the same?
Interchangeable backstraps make a good deal of sense on a double-stack handgun , on account of the width of the grip.
Single stack by nature of its narrower design fits a good deal more hands . A practical example is the Model 1911-ladies have no trouble shooting a full size 1911, but a double stack Beretta 92 doesn't fit the fairer sex's hand. Thus, for a firearm built as a single stack that is meant to be as concealable as possible there isn't a need for it.
Felt the same at first about the backstraps. But the more you think about, I agree, not so practical with a single stack.
