After almost 3 months of anxiously waiting, I finally got the call from my LGS that the 2 9mm Shields I ordered had just arrived.

Needless to say several traffic laws were broken in getting to the store.

Here is a photo of my current M&P family.:D

BTW. My son has a 9c also.

Congratulations on your score, but I have to ask... why two Shield 9's? I would have got one in .40 and the other in .9. You must like to pack heavy, one on each side. You will love this gun, it is the perfect CC gun out their IMO.

One for wifey, one for me. Ordered them on Valentines Day.

Sure beats flowers and candy.;)

I recently received my CCW permit here in Upstate NY, and put three items on it, Beretta PX4 Storm .40, M&P 9 FS, and a M&P Shield 9.

I have yet to shoot the Shield, but I like the way it's easy to conceal.. of the three, it was actually the cheapest one of the three..

I'm looking forward to getting some range time with it.. congreats on getting one..

I feel like an old timer, picked up my shield 9 in August 2012. I have not regretted buying it for one instant. I carry it daily and have gotten to the point I feel undressed without it. I am certain you will like both of yours...

Just shot my 9mm Shield tonight in preparation for my annual retired LE shoot on Thursday. I love that little gun. It is accurate, easy to shoot and very concealable. I never liked the compact Glocks because they were too thick and the grip was too short for my hands. Not the case with the Shield.

Could you tell me or show me the difference between the 9mm full, size 9mm shield and the 9mm compact as far as size and configuration? Do they now make something in 9mm that's even smaller? Like the core? I only have the M&P.22 and the M&P FS .45 to try and compare too. George

I just bought one on Monday.Feels better in my hand than my G26 can't wait to shoot it.

What's the going price on a new shield I been looking at one for $409 is that not so good, good, great, fantastic, or what? George

That's a great price. Better get it before it's gone. If it isn't already. I paid $429 for mine and thought it was a good deal.

I would not pay more than 409 for one. Mine was 389.00 4 months ago and there are more and more available. Be patient and you will be glad you were.

couldn't wait any longer, so I bought a "nano", thinking it wouls get better if broken in...5 days later I go to another store, I see not one, but 2 shields (9mm)...I'm flooored...gotta have it....don't care what it costs me to off the nano and pay full price for the shield. Am I ever glad...you betcha! lost my shirt, but got the best little shooter I've had the pleasure of owning and shooting...just the best!

by the way, while I'm doing paper work, the other shield got snapped up, I would have kicked myself if I didn't jump on my shield!

$499 at Carter's Country in Houston, in the Wilcrest location. They have Shields (as of yesterday) in both 40 and 9. They do ship via FFL dealer. They also have 7 rd mags for 9mm.
