Finding any 9mm ammo?

ammo

cabelas still has some for mail order, bought some ppu, never used before but read it is ok,it is the cheapest 9mm i have found.

I went to the range yesterday and couldn't believe I bought 2 boxes of magtech FMJ for 12.99 a box of 50!!!! Dumb *** I should have bought all they had!

I just finished reloading 1,500 9mm rounds and my total cost was less than $200. I still have primer, powder, and cases, but ran out of bullets. There is another 1,000 on the way.
I'm getting down in the bullet count also, just got on the 'list' at Bayou Bullets for another 2k, 6-8 weeks. Now if I can find some more primers....

Just bought some for $14 a box locally.

PS kind of sucks when people make up stuff and post it here. Such as the false Walmart story above

Stopped by the Wallymart in Boone, NC...... 9mm, .45, .40 and 22lr gone. Stopped by Bass Pro Shop in Concord, NC, a few boxes of odd ball calibers but all the shelves were bare. They did have an adequate supply of shotgun shells.

Dicks had dry boxes with 350 rnds of blazer brass for $99 by me the other day. Bought 2 and the leftover three were gone before I hit the register

I ordered 1,000 rounds from Bulk Ammo and it was here in 3 days. Stores around here in Maryland are dry.

Here in S. Texas I'm having a hard time getting any popular caliber ammo at all. Mostly looking for .22LR, 5.56 and 9MM. Trying to buy ammo online like I usually do is IMPOSSIBLE!! The price of ammo is gonna double and its gonna be even harder to get, especially 5.56mm Lake City stuff. The 'dealers' are really gonna try and 'gouge' us on this. Might not need any new gun legislation if we don't have any ammo (that's the back door approach to gun control)......thanks Obama!

I just checked their website... they have 2 cases and they want $400 for 1000 fmj. That's expensive! That's $20 per 50 for just a ball round!

$20 a box for range ammo is about average in SWFL lately. I've seen .223 as high as $26 for a 20 rnd box.

Just bought 2 100 round Winchester Value Pack 9MM and 1 100 round Value pack .38 Winchester this morning at walmart. Guy unpacked it while I was getting my oil changed. $25 each for the 9MM, and $33 for the .38. I left 6 boxes of the 9MM, and the guy behind me got them. 800 rounds sold in 2 minutes.

I have a theory. Companies who buy ammo to sell online are mostly out of all the popular calibers. I suspect they are afraid to re-stock in case the ban on online ammo sales passes, then they would be stuck with unsold inventory. I hope this stuff passes over and the local stores will be full of our favorite ammo again....then IDK...be glad when we know for sure if we own expensive paper weights or guns!!

But even if they pass something, it wouldn't go into effect for at least 1/2 a year or so...

In that time, everyone knowing of a definite ban, think how fast that ammo would go! Much faster than right now. Even those who have rightly stockpiled ammo, would be buying.

9mm is still readily available here in Colorado and the big box stores (chain sporting goods, WalMart, etc.) have the best prices.

.357 Mags have been unobtainable for ages. Those that have them are getting $1/round or more and boxes of 50 rounds are extremely scarce. I haven't seen a 50 round box of .357s in almost a year.

Shelves are bare here in Northern Colorado at all the Walmarts.

Been wanting more 22lr, 9mm, and 45 but I have not seen any in weeks.

Was able to order 250 rounds of Magtech 9mm FMJ from Midway USA this morning. 64 dollars!!
Then went to houston gun show, Unbelieveable prices on ammo and ARs. $6.79 boxes of PMC 223 selling for $20!
One vendor had 1000 round boxes of Remington 223, wanted $1300 a box. 9mm were all 20 dollars and up. I paid 39 dollars for 525 rounds of 22lr!!!

You should have written down the vendors name, posted here, so people could choose not to support them in the future for this kind of price gouging. Shameful.

Definitely should have gotten there names. One vendor had Ammo that was highr than usual, but at least he didn't gauge and explained that he had to pay more from his supplier.
