Well this was my first attempt at this. Like always, its far from perfect but the best I can do. I basically took out the soldering iron and taped off what I didn't want to stipple and tried to overlap each poke at a time while adding bigger grip holes in key areas.
I also took down the two humps on the grip with a dremel tool and sanded them down. I just didn't like the feel of them due to my middle finger laying on top of the top hump while actively shooting.

and a quick progress pic of my 7 inch upper. I still need to polish up the face of the handguard a little to match up the sheen on the rest of the handguard.
