This Smith & Wesson 1013 It started out life as a 4013 and came from the factory in 1992 the 10mm conversion done in late 2015 by BMCM http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-...ols/460618-10mm-conversion-lab-cmon-yall.html
This is a single stack semi-auto with 8 round magazines and is in Excellent condition.
The forums say these were originally designed as a 10mm but when S&W introduced the shorter powered down 40S&W version of the cartridge, S&W decided to put a spacer in the mags for the shorter round and make the 4013 compact. Since the 10mm round is also .40 S&W, Basically just recoil springs guide rod and barrel cartridge depth are all they had to modify to convert to a 10mm 1013.
This pistol barrel was reamed for the longer 10mm cartridge. The spring guide rod is set up for a dual spring no buffer necessary. The spacer spot welds were cut out of the 6 included magazines and white 10mm mag followers put in.
The 1013 provides maximum firepower in a compact semi-auto and with the popular 10mm cartridge. This is a very nice carry gun this one was put together by S&W forums owns treasure, BMCM so these don't surface often as folks seem to keep them. has Hogue Grips, Night sights from XS Big Dot still nice and bright. The action is SA/DA with spring loaded ambidextrous safety/decocker. The internals show little wear was kept clean and well-lubricated weight is just 28.8 ozs. unloaded, a great pocket rocket for concealed carry.
I've only put about 250 rounds through this pistol and have had absolutely no function issues whatsoever over the 2 years I've owned it.
