Gas Prices are making me nauseous!

I paid around $55 yesterday to fill up - close to $3.80 / gal. Now that we are retired, I don't mind the prices as much - a tank will last almost a month unless we take a trip etc.

Some of you may remember the gas lines of the late 70's - odd & even days and a $10 limit - while you were waiting in the gas line at 6AM, the attendant would just come along and collect the $10 in advance - I felt lucky to get any some days. $3.80/gal beats that.

$3.85 a gallon here locally. I burn 300+ gallons a month running for business.

1 Barrel = 42 Gallons
Today's Bloomberg = $106.10 = $2.53 / Gallon.
Refining / Transport Costs $0.60 / Gallon.
State & Federal Taxes take the rest.

I bet old Warren Buffett is pleased with his deal for Burlington & Northern to transport crude by rail instead of using the Keystone pipeline.....

It's 3.55 for 87 here in KC (give or take .07), $3.75 for Diesel and around 3.90 for premium. It's only going to get worse as summer and the driving season rolls around. Perhaps buying a scooter or a 250cc motorcycle will provide some relief at the pump...

It cost me over $20 to fill up the Harley. That is better than the truck though.

Here in the R.T.P., NC area gas is $3.73 for regular, $3.90 for mid-range which I use, and supreme ??
I feel lucky that I generally drive no more than a 100 or so miles a week. My heart goes out to those of you who have to pile on the miles daily.

It's flirtin' with four bucks for regular in south King county. About $4.15 on the west side of Lake Washington. I pretty much parked the truck and am using public transportation for work right now.....

$4.29 cash, $4.35 credit for diesel over here in beautiful West Seattle.

I hadn't paid too much attention to diesel before I replaced the gas-hog 7.4L Suburban with a 7.3L F250. When did diesel go up-side down with gasoline? It used to be the cheap fuel !

I was a LEO during those days. Every AM when I signed on I'd receive a report of someones gas being stolen. Locking gas caps were at a premium. You may want to consider that; however, the biggest problem with that approach was it deterred the average thief but others would simply punch a hole in the tank and drain the gas into a bucket. Park and ride lots were a prime target.

But I have good news on this! Gas stations will now be allowed to offer, to those with good credit, 15 year fixed rate terms. Those with a few credit dings will not be left out, a 30 year ARM will be available.

This, of course, only applies if you fill the tank.

And the loan's will be guaranteed by Freddie Mac and Fanny May (if the Gubbernut gives them some more cash)!!

$3.39 gal at Costco here in Sunny Eastern WA - $3.55 to $3.69 everywhere else in Spokane county.

Rrg $3.52 this am, $3.34 last Saturday....

It went up-side down over here back in 2007 - that's when I traded off my Excursion diesel - sure miss it though.
