It cost me over $20 to fill up the Harley. That is better than the truck though.
I paid around $55 yesterday to fill up - close to $3.80 / gal. Now that we are retired, I don't mind the prices as much - a tank will last almost a month unless we take a trip etc.
Some of you may remember the gas lines of the late 70's - odd & even days and a $10 limit - while you were waiting in the gas line at 6AM, the attendant would just come along and collect the $10 in advance - I felt lucky to get any some days. $3.80/gal beats that.
But I have good news on this! Gas stations will now be allowed to offer, to those with good credit, 15 year fixed rate terms. Those with a few credit dings will not be left out, a 30 year ARM will be available.
This, of course, only applies if you fill the tank.

$4.29 cash, $4.35 credit for diesel over here in beautiful West Seattle.
I hadn't paid too much attention to diesel before I replaced the gas-hog 7.4L Suburban with a 7.3L F250. When did diesel go up-side down with gasoline? It used to be the cheap fuel !
And the loan's will be guaranteed by Freddie Mac and Fanny May (if the Gubbernut gives them some more cash)!!
$3.39 gal at Costco here in Sunny Eastern WA - $3.55 to $3.69 everywhere else in Spokane county.
I'm just glad I don't live in England any more. BBC News - Petrol price hits record high
With a US gallon equal to 3.8 liters, that works out to $8.25/gallon.
My gripe about those that hold up what Europe is paying for gas is that Europe's public transportation is so far advanced from most of ours that they don't really have to drive much unless they want to.
I've spent time in both England and on the continent and, other than Spain, didn't feel the need for a car. Getting from Point A to Point B was never a problem.
