I am looking foreard to trying the new GD 357's for short barrels in my 340MP. Can you tell me how much more recoil I can expect, compared to the GD 38+P for short barrel? I am hoping that I can use the reduced recoil 357's for a leg up on the 38's and to use the revolvers maximum potential. I know, full 357's similar to being hit in hand by a baseball bat. I done that and it is not very fun!

I've heard, no experience myself, that since they are downloaded to less than 1000fps out of the short barrels they are not that bad and are more like 38+P+ in power.

You would get more bang for your buck with Buffalo Bore's 158 gr LSWCHP 38 Special +P. It clocks 1000 fps from a 2" barrel.
