can a pinky ext be added to a standard 9compact flush mag? Or is it a separate mag?

It can be added easily

Can't find any 9c magazines 10 or 12 round anywhere on the web. However, I am Seeing Some full size 17 round mp9 mags which I understand will work in 9C. Grip extenders are also available. Seriously considering this option for backup clip or range.

Now all I have to do is find a 30 round clip and modify my 9C for full auto:D

Just ordered a 3 pack for my Shield 9. Comes out to $26 each. Plus $9.50 shipping, still less than 30 bucks each OTD.

Yeah but if the one you desire is number 7 it kind of sucks. M&P 40c mags are about as hard to find as the pistols

Looks like cdnn has some 10 rounds that have those bigger baseplates. You can always just get the normal baseplates and have what you need for the 40c.

A few weeks ago the only place I could find the m&p9c 12 rd magazines for my new compact was Botac I'd generally had bad luck in the past dealing with this company(Placed an order only to find out later it's not in stock on backorder)

Figured what the heck and placed my order for 2 SKU: S&W 19453 12 rd w/finger rest. I got a shipping notice that same night and had the package in a 2-3 days.I see their sold out now I though I might order a couple more when they get restocked again.

There seems to be a lot of interest in this subject.

You might want to look at the link below. I am not affiliated with the vendor in any manner.

Decent Price on mags and good service besides

These guys are back ordered 4-6 weeks on the full size magazines and by the tone of the e-mail, don't know when they are coming in and they don't seem to be at all happy about that either. I just got the email from them about it after trying to order the 3 for deal.

44mag wants $41.00 a peace for their full size 9mm mags. I'll wait for the ones Quantico is back ordered on. The most that I have ever paid for a pistol mag was $35 for cz82 12 rounders.

I looked at the link to Quantico Tactical. I find it amazing that they can sell, presumably at a profit, the S&W magazines for cheaper than what most dealers pay to get them from a distributor.

That is very good for the customer, but it has the same effect on the small dealer that you see with Remington, Marlin, H&R, etc. at Wal-Mart, which is that Wal-Mart sells so close to the price paid by the small dealer that the small dealer cannot compete, as Wal-Mart, and the other biggies are negotiating prices that are more like distributor prices so they can make a profit by selling at about dealer price.

The small dealer simply cannot compete with the big box stores. Again, good for the customer, but bad for the dealer.

I haven't seen 9c mags anywhere for a long long time. Don't know what's up with Smith, seems like bad ju ju to sell a ton of guns but not any mags anywhere. Why is it that you can find Glock magazines all over the place but NOTHING for a M&P 9c?

I have found 9c mags at my local gun show. I just won't pay $50+ for a mag. I would like to get a couple more mags. But I refuse to pay $50+ for them when I got a FS mag for 30 something dollars at Midway.

I'm looking for 17 round mag for the 9mm c . Mostly for the added grip length which would help with the iwb at 6 o'clock. I know its way back there but at 70+ a lot of things don't work like they use to. I might go with abdominal cross draw in the hot months if there is such a thing.
