Getting used to it and starting to like it!

I am becoming much more familiar with the new format I like it better than the old version. Uploading is much easier and faster too. Probably a long overdue overhaul but greatly appreciated. The first time I logged on to the new format I was not thrilled, but I have changed my opinion 180º since.

I still have more discovering and learning but so far = great!

I agree. People need to let themselves get used to it before forming a hard and fast opinion. As a mod, I've had to make a lot of adjustments, and some things are still being tweaked, but the system has relieved us of a lot of the mountain of spammers/scammers we were being deluged with, making us all happier. And we're still discovering stuff too! This system is literally light years ahead of the old in so many ways.

I like this format.

Having said that, I was hoping that this forum would avoid the Fora format by XenFora such as used by RimfireCentral and 1911Forum.

My reason for that is the annoying "Do you want to sign in with your Google account?" I don't have a Google account and really don't want one. And, those forum layouts took away the "individuality" - or "personality" of the forums, replacing it with a boilerplate look.

This format looks nice. Maybe if I sign out and go to sign back in I'll be asked the Google question. Ah well, first world problems

Well, as part of the "Old Fart" club, change is something not easy to sometimes accept. That said, glad to see things humming along!
