Got in trouble at Cabelas, S&W 66-1

My Cabela's would have $799 to $899 on that gun. They have a couple of Chief's Specials at over $1000 each right now. Fortunately I'm able to buy virtually all my ammo there, as well as a few guns. That's thanks to their constant coupons and the stack of gift cards I've bought at 76 to 82 cents on the dollar.

Nice!
I know what you mean, Cabelas has turned me in to a miscreant. As of yesterday, there's a 4" nickel 29-2 with original target stocks that's been calling to me for a few weeks. They have it marked at $999.99, but I am sure I could get it for $925 or less, + the 5% vet discount. So far I've been able to walk away.

Earl, you wouldn't have had the opportunity to get in trouble if I had seen that gun first at that price! You did more than well on that deal. Congratulations and enjoy.

A great pick up.

I have been paying more attention to the gun library when visiting Cabela's. Recently picked up a very nice condition 3" HB, RB 10-8 for $358 out the door. Seems the the amount of time in stock sometimes prompts them to start reducing prices.

Very nice. I've got my 66-2 4", which was my last duty revolver. It holds a place of honor in my safe and gets an occasional trip to the range.
