At least it seems like I did. Two weeks ago, SGAmmo had a small shipment of Magtech 9mm steel case ammo for sale by 1000 round cases. It was very inexpensive - with insurance (no ammo sales tax in my state) it cost me $232.10. It shipped on the 14th, and according to UPS tracking, delivered to a local UPS Store mid-morning on the 18th. The store didn't have the box. Tracking said the store manager signed for it. He said he never signed for anything dropped off Monday. I checked back Tuesday, and still no box. UPS knows nothing about it - they claim it was delivered.

I contacted a nice gentleman at SGAmmo's Customer Service, and they got the same story from UPS - it was delivered but could not answer where it actually was. SGAmmo is filing a claim for me, as UPS rejected my own claim form because the automated robot said it was delivered. Ah well, I hope the Grinch doesn't shoot Santa.

That's exactly why I have Ammo and etc sent to a nearby UPS store.
As I posted , a USPS personage claimed my Mexican Libertad Silver Coin.
It got to the Albuquerque Main Post Office and just disappeared!

UPS uses all-electronic tracking and signatures. Most look like scribbles. The manager did say he never signed for anything Monday, didn't even see the truck or driver. Anyone, including the driver, could have bulk signed for all the packages dropped off, never scanning one individually.

I haven't had a problem like that myself, but if I'm going to be out when a package arrives, I put a note on the door that says it's OK to leave on the front porch (160' from the road, BTW) as at least 3 cameras will confirm that it was delivered. (Or not....) And I will have the video data to confirm it.

My apartment fronts on a busy city street. No cover. Up until the first of the month, all purchases went to my work address. Now that I am retired, I've been using the UPS Store for all things not from Amazon. Amazon ships to one of their own lockers at my local grocery store, so they are safe. The original arrival date was Tuesday, but it showed up a day early. Or didn't. Guess I'll never know for sure.

I used my bank debit card. They are local. Called my banker and they said because it was not fraud on the part of the seller, I should probably wait on SGAmmo. Besides, I've bought nearly 100% of my ammo in bulk from SGAmmo over the past five years. They've treated me well. I'll wait on their claim process to proceed. Should be no more than 10 days.

The shipping department of the company I worked for filed numerous UPS claims and there wasn't one that took less than 60 days to resolve. Many longer. They'll come back in 10 days and say they're still looking at it. But shipped UPS to a UPS store you'd think it wouldn't be a problem. I mean their truck, their store. Either way, what's the problem?

More shipping companies should do like Amazon. At least they can prove it was delivered to your house.

Sounds like UPS where the OP lives is nearly as useless as ours in Vegas. I once had UPS claim I refused delivery of an item, and it was returned to the sender. Funny old thing was that at the alleged time this took place, I was giving a presentation to over a dozen people including my boss. When I called UPS I told the customer (non) service rep that if they were going to tell lies, try to be smarter about it.

I can wait and see how SGAmmo handles this. They ship hundreds of packages every week. The gentleman I corresponded with has his UPS rep on his speed dial and email and he was looped in with all the documentation I had saved. I have UPS+ tracking, so I have full details, including the local truck on an animated map while on the last leg of the delivery. Someone signed for it, but never checked it into the store's received packages. I have no doubt it got there, but I also have no doubt it never entered their separate system. Someone walked off with it.

I like the picture proof. I just had a package delivered by fedex but I didn't get it. Saw the picture and realized it was delivered next door. All worked out

One problem is the shipping companies hire anyone who has a vehicle to keep up with the overload of deliveries. "Amazon" just dropped off a package at my house--some guy in a rental van who shoved on the porch and left, no knock, no pics, nothing.

I've had Amazon delivery show up at 9pm driving a Toyota Corolla. Scruffy looking guy in his mid 20s. I came around from garage side door as he was walking off front porch. I startled him and asked him what he's doing on my porch. He says " whoa dude I'm just delivering an Amazon package ". I told him he should wear the Amazon vest or put ID on car.

Of course if the picture is of your package on someone else's porch that is a whole other story.:)

Where I live the Amazon folks can't seem to comprehend the street signs and I am forever walking packages a street over to complete the delivery or going over there and knocking on doors trying to get my package back.

One time the guy brought the package out and it was all opened up. As if you don't realize that it isn't yours when you get it or begin to open it.

That's because your house isn't where it's supposed to be. Their GPS told them so, and you know anything with an electronic screen must be right.

UPS should have a copy of the signature...?? His or not his.

It's a joke between me and my UPS guy that tell him I sign "Abe Lincoln" in the electronic tablet space for your scrawl. 90% of the time you can't read it with any expectation of accuracy.

Most Amazon and Fed-Ex drivers in my area have English as a second language (or further from 1st,) and often jumble the numbers in our addresses. I walk packages from my porch to their houses often. One of the offending things is, NOT ONE package has ever come my way! AND If the postal carrier puts a package in the wrong mailbox of a gang-box you will never see it!

My normal UPS driver is the same as when I lived on the farm, so he knows me. He is familiar with 6-inch cubes that weigh 30 pounds! My niece lived here before me, she get lots of horse stuff, her new place is on the same route, regardless of the address, Horse stuff is for her; bullets are for me!

Delivery people that change routes daily never learn their route or the customers! And the managers don't know how to care!
