Take your Roper screw to a Mom and Pop hardware store, and match the threads/ buy a screw. You may have to shorten it or modify the head.

Well Gents the saga is over! I accidentally found a screw that fit in a box of **** that I bought from an estate. I appreciate all the help but sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

Snapped a quick picture of where the stocks will live for now.

Unfortunately I do not know the thread size

Any real hardware store will have screw-size gauge that will give you that info in seconds. And -- again, if it's a REAL hardware store -- they'll have the right screw, too.
