My 3 year old Heritage safe has always been a bit finicky-didn`t always open on the first try- , but lately it has needed to have the combination entered 3 times before it would open, and sometimes not even then.
I was really concerned that it was going to die on me and leave all my treasures locked beyond my reach forever, or cost a fortune to have a locksmith destroy my safe to get it open.
It has a electronic key pad type lock. I called the good folks at Heritage and even though the safe was out of warrantee the good Miss Carol agreed to send me a new lock .
It arrived safely and quickly and then I had to teach myself how to remove and install a lock on a safe. After worrying about it for a day or so , and watching youtube tutorials, I finally dove in and guess what??? It aint so bad of a job and its done and working perfectly.
So now I can brag I`m an amateur Lock Smith, and my treasures are safe and accessible again.
