Hand Broke on my M500 6.5' broke after 50 rounds

Just again found this thread. Glad to read that S&W had on hand and shipped to you a replacement hand for your revolver. Certainly understand disappointment stemming from the initial problem. Hope you have the opportunity to see and shoot a number of feral hogs. Especially when shooting is up close hunting feral hogs can be a lot of fun. Sincerely. brucev.

This is an example of why I have spare parts for most of my guns. My 4" 500 had timing I wasn't pleased with. I got a couple of new hands and used the one that fit the situation best. Now it is perfect.

This is a good lesson in dealing with ANY customer service group. It's a good idea to call more than once and see if you can get someone else if you are not happy the first time.

The first person might not be on the ball, or might just be having a bad day, or might be new.

It's worked out for me more often than not with multiple companies.

Glad you got your hand. Have fun on your hog hunt and make sure you wear hearing protection!

I have a curse with buying new stuff. You could have one in a million be the bad one and I end up with it. Whether it's new guns, cars, trucks what ever. I went through three brand new Remington 1100 shotguns right in the store where I purchased them. The fourth one was ok but in bear country so what if it jams. I've had problems with Colts too. Even three brand new dirt bikes.

I been through so much with bad products the only thing I have faith in is my S&W guns. I do trust them with there warranty. I never needed it yet.

I've had so many non functioning new 1911's(not Smith's) I learned how to fix them.

I don't complain, it's the norm, I'm cursed.
