Hanging on the Local Gun Shop Wall...

Thats the best buy of 2013 so far......and probably for the whole year too! :)

Wow....i'm stunned.

Thanks all for the kind (and even the not-so-kind, I probably deserved them) comments. I felt bad about bragging but after seeing some of the treasures some of you have found and shared I just had to post this. The story was along the lines that the owner died and left this to someone who just didn't want it and was willing to sell it for quick cash.

And I just realized I posted this in the wrong section. Should have been in the 1896-1961 section. Duh.

Very nice score indeed. Now start checking the local barns for the mint '54 Vette under a tarp.

Thanks for posting this, It makes the rest of us hope that at the next LGS visit or the next gun show we'll find something similar. It took guts to post the price you paid, dayam!

Around here, I'd tell you to head over to the Sheriff's Office to register for what you did to that gun shop. I KNOW there was no kiss or dinner.

BTW, wrong forum - your revolver is too old for this forum.:D

The BEST STORY ever, I like the way it built up with the pics and then POW!, you hit us with the price. It was a whoa! moment . Was it hard keeping a poker face or did you have a big smile on your face.

Congrats. Stories like this keep me hitting every conceivable shop in my area. Nice package you landed there

10 DAYS???

I always knew: dreams sometime come true.

Didn't you have to wait 10 days before you could bring that gun to its new home? I always thought that Mass. has silly gun laws.

In Mass there is no 10 day wait...if you got your handgun permit and pass the instant check you walk out the door with it...no wait.
