Has Anyone Received Their Ammo & Mag Loader??

It's hard to be too upset since technically it's "free stuff", but I'm still pretty disappointed. I would have easily waited longer if it meant getting the compact mags...
Keep talking like that and we are going to change your user ID to "calmelf22".

I would have waited too. In addition to waiting for the 15 round magazines to become available where I normally shop I want to pay the same price as the 17 round mags. Currently the 15 round mags are running an extra $15.

I got mine after about 14 weeks. Of course it came while we were out of town so i had to go to FedEx to pick it up and sign for it.

Seriously, adult signature required is a joke. Also wish they'd have made a deal with Maglula instead of Caldwell as the mag loader is slow and overly complicated comparatively. But free is free, got my rebate today that was submitted mid-July, almost 5 months to the day.

Still waiting.

I waited for the summer rebate because I heard such horror stories about rebate lengths. I also read the letter of apology from S&W saying how they were beefing up their rebate staff. Well I guess they really didn't beef up anything. My rebate was posted in Milano on Aug. 18th. After waiting 10 weeks I contacted Milano and they said rebates were running 12 weeks. I then contacted S&W and was told I had an order number but no idea as to when it will be shipped. As I'm reading I see that the mag loader is really not that good. Oh well. S&W you are a major player in your industry. This is the 2nd time in a row you've blown it on rebates. I too bought the M&P 45.

I have a small cyst on my right thumb that is not a problem except when I try to load stiff magazines by hand.

After I got my rebate I loaded one of the 17 round magazines with the Caldwell mag charger and it worked pretty well, better than I expected from the comments. I wasn't very impressed until I tried loading that same magazine by hand. Without some sort of loader those last few rounds were a real pain to get in.

Compared to my Maglula the Caldwell device takes up more room in my shooting bag and is a Rube Goldberg device in comparison. But if I had the Caldwell loader first I probably would not have bothered with buying a Maglula. The Maglula is better but both are a big step up from loading by hand. S&W probably got a deal on the Caldwell loader since most people buying one with their own money would choose the Maglula.

Guess what arrived

After posting this morning about any progress, my package arrived FEDex a few minutes ago. The Caldwell loader, 2 boxes of Hornady defense and 2 6+1rd Mags. I bought the M&P 45. Go figure. 16 weeks almost to the day. Happy to get it!

American outdoor brands owns both S&W and Battenfield Industries, which owns Caldwell. All in-house deal. The Caldwell mag loader is from China and probably cost a couple of bucks to make so the rebate probably didn't cost S&W anything close to what the cash rebate cost.
I'm not complaining, just commenting.

Mine just showed up after rebate submission in July:

I have had 2 of these ammo and loader "rebates" in the mix since June. Nothing yet. Anyone here actually received their goods yet?

Thanks!
Mine came today!!! Yippee. Authorized 8/25. 15 weeks and a day.

I just picked up a letter from my mailbox today.

MPS.

Says they can't read my proof of purchase.

Well, I made the Gunbroker purchase, then sent them a copy of the
purchase form from Gunbroker and the seller...when I filled out the online
form for the mag/loader rebate.

This pisses me off to no end, and I will be writing S&W a letter today.

Actually, the two spare mags would be nice, the loader is **** and so is the ammo.

In the future, if I do a rebate, I'll be sure to send the info in by snail mail.

On the other hand, people that bought Walthers have had great success.

@ clarkstoncz Don't waste your time. Call Milano and ask for their fax number. Fax it and verify with them.

I received an email saying my package was delivered. So I look outside and nothing. I look up the tracking number and it was dropped off at some address 165 miles away in Haslet TX and then 3 days later another email saying package returned to Paducah KY. ***?

Let me see. Haskell and Haslet? I thought they used zipcodes and barcodes?

Rebate Update

Actually Milano is pretty useless. You are better off calling directly to S&W. It seems they have started accepting calls about the rebate and have some limited information.

From all the guys receiving their promo packages recently, maybe S&W did a mass mailing.

That's what I did, shipping notice the next day as I posted above. My guess is Milano is a hasty arrangement for someone's relative(s) to make some money without having a clue as to operating a fulfillment service and how to design and deploy E-commerce procedures.

Shield .45 purchased 9/14/2017, rebate applied for via internet same day. Never got any acknowledgement, never showed up on Milano rebate site no matter how I entered data...to include this Fri/Sat/Sun. Got tracking notice from FedEx shipping notice Thursday, 14 Dec 17. Rebate arrived today (2 6+1 magazines, 2X20 Hornady Critical Defense .45 Ammo, magazine loader contraption (I use Maglula until I can get it done by hand). So it would appear there is hope! I had written it off long ago...

Just got my Shield 45 rebate this evening, 19 weeks and six days. The magazine loader is overly complicated and difficult to use. The Uplula is simple and easy, no comparison. Two Plus-One magazines welcomed.

Didn't get my rebate today. Got a letter stating my receipt wasn't readable. So, I mailed the reply and hope to get the mags at least before I PCS at the end of Feb, but won't hold my breath. Maybe I'll try and call Smith and Wesson and see if I can leave a forwarding address. I love my PC 45 Shield, and would put those mags to good use. Oh well. Hopefully the revolver rebates will show soon? Happy to see others getting theirs at least. I'm sticking to snail mail from now on.

Got mine Saturday, not sure about the ammo though. Now the loader is pretty good, not sure why most hate it or think it's complicated?. With my mags (full size 9mm 2.0) I set it to 4 on both rollers, insert mag fully and snug it down slightly. Then I give it to my 11 yr old son who is disabled and loves to load mags and he has them loaded in about 5 mins. This is good because it usually takes him about 20 mins a mag to load. As long as the mag is in properly and the bullet inserted correctly (all the way back with no gap behind it) it works like a charm. I stated earlier that it isn't any faster than loading by hand, it simply assists those who have trouble doing it by hand.
Any hooo I think my son is going to have forearms like Popeye very soon, he's loaded then reloaded all 6 mags prob 4-5 times since Saturday. We'll find out shortly as he loves to arm wrestle.
Oh yeah the mags were 17's and correct dark earth color matched.
