Long time lurker, first time poster here :D

I just bought my first firearm (obviously a 15-22) yesterday; I figured now seems like a good time to join the forums. I haven't had a chance to go test her out, but I already love it; I can't wait to start buying toys for it. Basically, I'm thinking a CTR stock, Hogue pistol grip, AFG, and an EOTech 512 to start out.

Information for those who want it:
-First gen (non-threaded barrel)
-DTMxxxx
-Red star on the manual
-First gen magazine (I have two "new style" mags sitting in my apartment too)

And a pic:

From what I've seen while lurking, I think I'll enjoy this place :D

Thanks, everyone... I can't wait to get out and test 'er out :D

And slightly off topic, but P51, you wouldn't happen to own a 94-04 mustang, would you? :D

INTELLIGENT new forum member, gives us the gun's ancestry prior to asking future questions.

I'm impressed.

P.S. Blue Springs?

Like I said, I've lurked for a few months before joining (didn't want to join without actually having the rifle), so I know what kind of information members tend to ask :D

Unfortunately, no blue springs. I'm just hoping I don't have any problems with it. Worst case scenario: I have problems, send it in to S&W, get it back a month later and enjoy it further :D

haha, the "SN95" part of your username kind of gave it away :D

I have an '01... just a little v6, nothing special, but it's enough of a car to keep me happy for the time being :D

Congrats and welcome to the S&W boards.

Remember to give your 15-22 an initial cleaning and most important of all . . . Run the bolt assembly wet, a.k.a. be generous with the lube . . . LOL

You folks know what I meant. :p

lol you said "lube" :D

But yeah, I still need a cleaning kit and some CCI Mini-mags. I've been trying to buy the 15-22 for about 5 months now and every time I had the money something would come up, so at this point I figured having it and not being able to shoot it for a few weeks is better than not having it at all. Being 20 and having to pay back student loans takes a toll on the wallet.

 Nice I'm very tempted to get a 2011, the new motors are just so nice!

welcome

Welcome to this board and now start the big building thing "what I am gonna put on this gun".

The only thing I can say tried a magwel from FAB but doesn't fit.

Kind Regards fromn Holland

just a thought from another non blue spring m&p owner.. either bend your hammer spring to reduce its pressure or buy the 10 dollar j&p spring kit this will help reduce the risk of OOBs... my rifle has had about 18,000 down the barrel and only maybe 200 with springs in stock trim.. zero issuse at this point

Thanks for the heads-up. I think I'll probably end up going with the J&P spring kit. I mean, for $10 you really can't go wrong.

And P51, the 2011's are amazing. I mean, a 13-second 300bhp v6 and the fact that they're bringing back the 5.0? It's about time Ford stepped up their game :D

and the video on youtube of the 5.0 stomping the new camaro is priceless.. i bought a vette cause i got tired of having to dump so much into a 4.6 to make it nasty.. but now that ford has stepped it up again i may have to take another look..

C5 Vette with full blot ons is the daily driver..but SVT Lightning is the garage queen and the faster of the two

I think as far as which is faster when we see them going head-to-head on the strip with "normal" drivers behind the wheels will pretty much come down to individual drivers; as it is, the cars are pretty close in performance (with a slight edge to the lighter mustang

Personally, I try not to fall into the "X car is better because Y makes it" deal; I appreciate cars for what they are. I'd love to have a C5 (prices are getting lower every year :D ), but insurance would still kill me. Even 4cyls get love from me; I mean, Honda did pretty well with the F20C in the S2000... 240bhp from a 2.0L DOHC I4 isn't shabby at all. And I work on Subarus all day, so of course I'm kind of required to have a thing for them :D

*stealth edit: wow, we're getting pretty OT here... but that's all right since it's my thread, right? :D
