Hey everyone. I am new to guns. I got my first in April which was a Springfield XD 9 mm. My first time to the range shooting long guns looked interesting. After my 2nd time I decided I wanted to save on Ammo so I could shoot more and started looking at 22 rifles. At Big 5 they had the 15-22 which looked pretty cool. After reading about early issues, in the end I built an AR with a spikes tactical dedicated 22 upper with a lothar walthar 18 inch bull barrel. It is pretty heavy to hold.
Well I get a Big 5 coupon and go to look at the new IO Ak 47 they are selling. So I wind up buying a 15-22 on sale and with the coupon paid $377.91 before tax and DROS. I also got the AK 47 which after 20% off came to 479.20 before tax and on the same DROS. I have to wait till they get out of jail, but I am excited to try them out.
I'm still working on a regular AR and an AR 10.

So 2 months ago I caught a sickness and including the shotgun I got last month will now have 5 guns. Geez, talk about overboard:D

thanks for the welcome. Deralte- I am thinking of moving to NC- the raleigh area.

heh heh, I know lots of chevy and ford guys who like to make fun of Dodge so it was a name I used on car forums :)

I used to dump lot's of money into that car. Now it looks like guns will be my next money pit.

Much like my guns are more accurate than me, the car is faster than my skill for driving. On a similar set up one guy drove it into the lower 9's at the 1/4 mile.

Welcome from the Show Me State. I had a wicked Cuda in my youth. In a moment of weakness when reaching maturity I sold it. Now I look back and wonder about the maturity of that decision.

I love cudas and challengers. No one could have predicted mass produced muscle cars would have gone up in value. That being said I wonder if I will regret selling my 1972 pinto :)

Welcome from Texas aslowdodge. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Only five (5) guns? Course I understand in Kalifornia that is a big deal but in Texas that is NOT considered overboard.;)

You need to add a few more and then we will talk about overboard.

I work in a pediatric ER and I run into similiar attitudes.

When asked how many I own, I always respond "Several".

Welcome to the forum from KY!

There are lots of helpful and knowledgeable folks here.

I think you will enjoy your time here.

I think in Texas nothing is overboard. I have a few buddies here in the the republik that have about 100 between the 2 of them. They must have Texas blood in them.
