help me out 45/410...

I think the governor style revolver that shoots the 454 casull, the .410 shotgun round and the 45 colt is the one I would want. It's for protection in the wilds while hiking and camping. It can also handle the Cor-Bon ammo in 45 colt. The .410 buckshot would be my favorite loads for ccw carry around around the civilization.

Buckshot for CCW? Sounds like you are begging for trouble.

here's my current recipe. Four 000 Buck followed by two 45 Colt...

I have one, and like it. One thing to be aware of is that standard 410 loads don't perform very well in it. But they are making specialty "410 handgun" ammo now that performs great.

Mine shoots 45 ACP great, I have not tried 45 Colt in it yet.

And most of all, it's a Smith & Wesson, what's not to like?

45 Colt works great, no moon clips!

Old Unc', I'm glad the Governor worked out for you. I love mine. It shoots .45 LC into a clover-leaf and .45acp is close to what my 1911's do. I really like the Federal Personal Defence Buckshot. Nice tight group at ten yards. This will be my anti-car jacking gun and maybe my new cold weather CCW. tom.
