How did I survive 45 years without an iPod! (cool story)

My best friend has an iPod that I've admired for a while, and around Christmas she kept telling me she was going to get me an awesome Christmas present. Due to financial difficulties she wasn't able to get it, then it was going to be for Valentine's day (you have to understand...this girl has sat by me at work (and we work in a call center) for about a year and a half and we've become extremely tight), but again, due to financial difficulties it didn't happen. Finally, we got our profit sharing checks at work and she gave me the coolest birthday present EVER!

My birthday was Saturday and she had been telling me all week that I was getting my present Friday. Well, she came in Friday extremely pissed off and said she couldn't find it anywhere and she thought about just giving me the money for it but she really wanted to give it to me herself.

When we went to break she said she'd just give me the money and said she wanted to get me and iPod but no one had the one like she wanted to get me. She gave me the cash, and I bought one Saturday. It's not the "classic" like hers, but I got the "touch" model and I absolutely love it! I showed it to her Monday when I went back to work and she was pleased.

The iPod itself is pretty sweet, but it's awesome to think I have a friend that thinks that highly of me to give me $260 and tell me to go buy my own present, whatever I want. I could have spent it on something else, but I knew that's what she wanted to get me, so I got it and I don't regret it a bit!

Sweet! My daughter has the Touch and loves it. I have a Sansa, and love being able to have almost my entire (very substantial) CD collection in the palm of my hand.

I you're into any sort of competitive shooting, you can download the appropriate range commands to your iPod and get in some realistic practice. This is sooooo much better than the old cassette tape system.

Personally I have an old iPod Video 5.5g 80GB model that I got from a friend, and I use it to rate my music since it no longer has the space for all my music. I have a 8GB Sansa Fuze with a 8GB micro SD card that I use for rated music 4/5 stars.

As far as the touch goes, I am not a fan of how Apple handles iOS and treats its customers. I much prefer to have something that runs Android which is based off Linux. I am waiting for a good Android device that isn't a phone though.

Considering that I've bought her lunch at least 3 days a week for probably the last eight or nine months, we're WAY past even. She's a doll, though. They just moved her away from me at work and she cried when she found out. We've become the absolute best of friends, and the best part is she'll go shooting with me (when my wife doesn't want anything to do with it)

From what I've seen it's an alien seed pod that comes from another planet. It replicates your body and a new you pops out of the pod. Looks promising, I could use a new me. I hope the new me has more money.

Gosh, all these interesting comments about a phone. I can remember when they were all attached to the wall with a cord. Mine still is. Although, I do have an answering machine. That way, I don't have to answer the damn thing at all.

I bought an Ipod a couple of weeks ago,partly because of this post.i got a Classic 160 gb.,and have all of my mp3's on it[all i have so far-i buy around 3 or 4 cd's a month]-my songs number around 14,000.So far i have used 45gb.My car and truck both have mp3 disc players with a plug in in front.I have an RCA cord in both of them,and a cigarette lighter plug in for power.I took it to Crater Lake last fri.and plan to go to the Bay area this weekend.I love my Ipod[so far]]
