Sounds like a plan. My NAA Black Widow fills that niche for me. Excepting NAA minis, like Barb, everything I carry is point and pull.

I carry 24/7 except 95% of the time its OC. For the times I go to the big city its a j-frame in my pocket.

For primary concealed carry I carry a Glock 23 most of the time. On rare occasions I'll carry a Glock 27 or Walther PPK as primary.
A S&W model 65 is my bedroom gun, and a Springfield 1911 is my office gun.

I rotate between an Officer's 1911 and an XD. I would include my 442 in that rotation, but honestly it doesn't happen very often; maybe once or twice a month.

What to carry?
I'm a 1911 guy through-and-through. That being said, I like the power of the 10MM. The proper loads make it a great carry-gun and can be quickly turned into a great woods-gun by changing the ammo. I'm a heavy-set guy and have fallen in love with the Commander-bobtail even though I can conceal a larger handgun. I bought this gun as I "needed" another 10MM ASAP. and it was the only one available. Thank God, because I -played with it- and realized it was THE ONE for me. Then, there is the revolver.............you pull the trigger and it goes bang every time----no mag. springs to wear out or take a set, no safeties to dis-engage, and small enough to drop in a pocket. So, the short of it is I like to carry my M&P 360 (.38-.357Mag) in a pocket with a Bianchi speed-strip of my favorite fodder, and my Dan Wesson 10MM C-bob in a Galco Horsehide IWB at 3:30. I'm nobody with only my own experience but this works for me and I pray I never have to prove it. JMO-Thx

I have a 442 38 spl stuck in my boot or pocket 24-7 if I'm off my property. I also use a Ed Brown Kobra Carry commander sized 1911 if it's the weekend and I need to feel safer from bigger zombies. The 1911 is more for cooler weather cause I can't hide it as well under my clothing.

As for me, like many of you I have several options but about 98% of the time for me is my 2 inch model 10 round butt smith with a bianchi IWB on the strong side with 3 HKS speed loaders in the right front pocket. Being right handed having to put the cell, pocket knife, and car keys in the left front pocket has been trying but training has overcome habit. My Model 10 and associated speed loaders are loaded with Hornady Critical Defense rounds standard pressure. I have had to draw my revolver only once in my lifetime (was a terrifying experiance that I don't recomend and thank god there were witnesses and I didn't have to fire.) but with the model 10 i don't feel out matched. Gave up a model 36 for the snubbie mod 10, just to get that 6th round......you never know when you will need that 6th round.

Depending on which pants I'm wearing. I've never found any sort of holster that both conceals well, and is comfortable & easy to access. (Except a pocket holster)
Any holster may do one of those things well, some do two, but none all three.
So, if the gun won't fit in my right front pocket, I carry a differnt one, that will.

I had a short stay in Tampa General.
While I was under the knife, someone took my back pack and moved it to another room.
When I recovered and asked for my pack, I found my S&W 37, not there.
I, from the bed, called 911, to report a stolen gun!
Cops all over the place. Security, had removed my gun from my pack and stored it in the safe, without asking my permission to search my belongings.
They should have removed the entire pack, without opening it, and stored it. They would have been off the hook.
They never checked for a CCW or badge or anything else, so they said.
They said they have their rules about guns. BS!
No signs, no laws broken by me.
Creep, got fired on the spot or they would face very serious charges and law suites.
The cops, never asked for my CCW.

I hope all is well with you. Once again, it's cool that you're amongst us again.
Glock 23 on and off duty for over the past ten years. When it gets warm and clothing does not permit the G23, then I find a pocket for a 442, which is often the BUG to the G23, gets the primary role. Like many have mentioned, I am a believer in carrying what you are most familiar with. Restricted to Glock on duty as primary, so it made sense to make it my primary off-duty gun. However, I do like the feel of a 1911 style Commander-sized Kimber...retirement present?

you know I see you have listed two options and my thinking is to mix both of them, master all of your weapons so you can grab any one of them and save your pocket warmers

I carry my Model 36 two-inch everywhere I can legally. It rides in a pocket holster in my front pants pocket. Fits better than you might think in the pants pocket and draws easily. Bigger may be better but I wouldn't carry a bigger gun as readily as this tried and true snubby.

I carry a S&W m&p 45 ACP as my duty sidearm. In the past I have qualified with up to four (4) for off duty carry.
This last year, I have qualified with two (2) as they were the two that I carried and had available most of the time.
I now carry a Glock 32 (357 Sig) and a S&W 686 2 1/2 " (it's my issued off duty - confiscated gun provided to me)
As I get older, I am more and more understanding and advocating the philosophy - "Beware of the man with only one gun, he probably knows how to use it!"
While I think there are circumstances where a person may have very specific needs to have a very discreet sidearm, (mine was a Colt Mustang, more and more I find the Glock or the 686 serve me just fine and quite honestly, the Glock alone would probably cover it all, I must qualify with the S&W or turn it back in, and that ain't gonna happen.
So long as an individual is willing to practice and truly be proficient with his/her sidearm then I have no issue at all with how many they may choose to carry.
But as I get older, I will narrow my choice to the ones that will have a real impact and not the "what if's" that at one point in my career, I really enjoyed preparing for.
