How many of you are lucky enought to have a 'Gun Room'?

Hey Dean, thats my idea of a destination resort at the beach. If I'd known the west end was like that I'd have been talking my wife into a little clam diggin.
Ecam, you haven't challenged your cute wife yet. Take a look at dean's Ocean spray nook and try to get a little of that going. That's when you know how committed your wife is.
My wife and I are going on 46 years together and she's still committed. She says constantly that I should be committed, but thats a different matter. She refuses to enter the Boars Nest, something about health laws. It has become a place of perfect peace for me. The relaxation just oozes off my shoulders when I walk out of the Bs Nest. I usually have other smears about my body when I come out also, it is wonderful.
Anyway, I still haven't found the camera and the wife won't let me use hers. She sure has a long memory.
Happy Holidays to everyone.
Mark

I have the old coal room, it is about 8 by 20. In this room I've managed to cram 3 work benches. One bench is for gun and rifle repair, the other is for my scroll saw and oscillating sander the 3 rd one is for carving. I guess it is a multi function room. I have a table in the back part of the basement that I use for reloading. The upstairs spare bedroom houses my safe, my knife collection, my military displays and assorted other goodies it's not perfect but I'm very happy with it. You folks have some very excellent hang out rooms. Thanks Larry

yes one of the bedrooms is my gun room(as well as partial pantry) I wish it was bigger

I dont clean stuff in the house, I have a cleaning station/ultrasonic set up in the garage

ringo, that just too neat! and way to clean, but i bet you can find what you need, when you need it, hell i just go buy a new one !

Wow some of you have some proper gun rooms.

I have a 10X20 foot room in the basement where I have my reloading bench/gun working bench, my rather large safe and cabinets and drawers for ammo and hunting gear and clothes. It's the best I've managed yet and I'm happy with it and there right now.

Our finished basement has been made over into my he-man cave and my wife even decorated. Some old wall hanger long guns and bows and my wood decoy collection along with other old duck hunting gear. My old bird dog is crashed out on the couch there now.

I like this life underground now best.

Without prying too much, or having you divulge personal information.....

Is that a Ft Knox inward opening door? I'm interested. How did you obtain it if I can ask? Buy it from a gun shop, safe store, or direct? Did your builder install it, or did you do it yourself in the rough opening? I assume its a concrete room. Do you have a climate control system inside?

I'm lucky enough to get three rooms for my shooting hobbies. A gun room, a rifle reloading room and a pistol reloading room. Sorry I didn't get a pic of the S&W wall only got the Colts.

Not Heston's gun room

A quick search on Snopes for "Heston's gun" gives a reply stating that these pictures are not of CH's gun room, but some guy in Conn.

Vault Door

Hi Dick:

Fort Knox builds a traditional door that opens out or one that opens in and your gun room could double as a storm shelter. I believe the rough opening deminsions are the same, the door that opens in has slightly less width when open. You also have to account for the door path into your vault. Check the Fort Knox web page. Rick N. has a friend that deals in Fort Knox and he delivered and installed mine. I just provided enough man power to lift the 1200 pound door upright. It was pretty neat watching him do the install - it took less than an hour.
