How many would pass this up.

If they were 8 3/8" I would be reaching for my wallet....

Maybe, a 3 1/2 inch 27..............................maybe!

Now that there looks to be the long and short of it... :D:D:D

Sorry... couldn't help myself, I'll go back to sitting in my corner, quietly.

But in answer to the OP's question... it depends on what all was in the LGS display cabinet.

After 40 years of accumulating "shooting irons" there's not a lot left that I'm still (badly) lusting after... that the budget can still
afford, or what the wife will let me get away with ("don't you have ENOUGH already???").

Plus... I'm in California... the land of the complete nonsense handgun buying limiting laws, that puts a damper on things unto itself.

I did recently get a 625-8... IL and all. Haven't had the chance for any range time yet, but I'm pretty satisfied with fit and finish... with the possible exception of the big "JM' emblazoned on the side plate, I'm not a flamboyant kind of person :D:D

I'm still on the hunt for a M69... now that they've been added to the CA handgun roster and legal to sell here.

A model 25, 29, 57 or 58 in a 4" configuration either blued or in Nickel would interest me at $599. That's just a great buy right there.

Small hands, huh??

I don't know about the other guy you are commenting about, but small hands work fine with round butt

At least for me!

I have small hands but I like N-Frames.

The problem is I cannot carry them because I am a small guy.

However I like shooting them.

I fail to see how this thread is any different from all of the others that have beaten to death the debate about the new style S&Ws while wishing for "the good ol days".

Very few "different threads" on the forum, if the horse wasn't beaten in most threads this forum would look like a ghost town. Still beats reruns of Will and Grace by a long shot. Instead of just ignoring the thread you contributed to this thread being just like all of the rest.:D

Nope. I wouldn't even have looked at them long enough to notice the prices.
The "newest" S&W revolver I own was made in 1989. You can make your own opinions as to why.

I'd buy any N frame without IL or with barrels longer than in 6.5" and flip any duplicates. The only exception would be a 2 5/8" 627 PC. May give that model a modicum of consideration if less than $1K.
