First Smith
I was at a local gun show in 1990 and a beautiful model 19 four inch was on a table for $275.00. I got to B.S.'n with the guy and he was selling it for a friends widow that had a cabin about 120 miles from town. I decided to pay his price as I wanted the gun and the story was good. I reached for the money in my pocket and he says to me "You really seem to admire that gun. She has to get $225.00 for it." I asked if he was sure. He said yes because she got it for her husband and paid $125.00 for it originally. I pulled out the money and he handed me a blue and silver box, a leather belt holster, and three boxes of 158 gr. ammo. I thanked him and he said no problem and he was waiting for the next hour to pass so he could eat after the show. I went over to the snack stand and got him a couple dogs with the fixins' and a pop. He was shocked and we both were happy over the deal. That was a pretty good day. A few years later, some guy offered me $400.00 for it and I stupidly sold it.
