I'm not sure if this should go here or the lounge so move if not right place. i have a Remington 788 that i believe has been bedded. no visual evidence but will not come loose from the stock. i can rock it a little by moving the barrel down and the back of the receiver will tip up a little. thanks in advance for any help here. back when i did rifle work, i always made sure there was plenty of release agent on all metal parts. If you have a chest freezer. Try leaving in there for a couple days. That should make the epoxy brittle enough to break free.

I used that exact method to remove a glass bedded Browning A-Bolt from it's stock several years ago. I just left it overnight, the next morning it popped right out.

Another vote for the freezer method. If you don't have a freezer try packing it in dry ice and then give it a good smack and it should come free.

the freezer worked as advertised. left it in there about 18 hours and a little nudge with a rubber mallet and it popped free. thanks again for the advice. Lee
