The last notable birthday I remember is because of this picture. It was my 65th plus 10 years! Some close friends from our days way back in grade school treated my wife and me to a delicious meal complete with incredible Margaritas at a wonderful restaurant in Fountain Hills, AZ. It was a very pleasant evening with good friends and my bride.

Just a suggestion but, you only turn 65 once so, buy a Model 65 S&W of your choice! My wife gave me a bottle of George Dickel Barrel & Bond whiskey and it is more than worthy of a birthday celebration.
She also made me a pecan pie, my favorite! I am sure that a nice, thick NY strip from Costco was on the menu and that I grilled it while sipping the above referenced libation.
Add a cigar of your choice and sit out by the fire pit! Happy Birthday and Cheers!

Whatever works for you...
My 65th came and went without a lot of fanfare but... on my 60th my bride and I drove to Vegas and got a suite and rooms for two couples, our best friends for the last 30+ years. One couple drove up from San Diego and the other flew in. The morning of my birthday my best friend and I went to a local gun range for some full auto fun.
We rented Thompson sub machine guns {45 caliber} and let er rip. I must admit a hundred rounds doesn't last long but we shredded a couple of targets and then hung them up in our suite. Probably freaked out the cleaning staff. That night my buddies wife hit a penny machine for $4,000, all in all a pretty good trip.
My 70th is coming up this November and I have yet to make plans but since we have all had our second Covid shots we will have lots of fun options.

I retired at age 55 because I didn't think I'd make it to 65.

And a daughter is getting married 2 weeks after. Bought myself a new pair of boots, Men's Leather Cowboy Boots - Calfskin Western Boot | The Cartwright and tickets to the rodeo in June. Also found out another of my kids will visit on my birthday. None of them live close (was it something I said? [emoji3]) so that will make it very special. Also, Medicare..

65 eh? Well that was a while back now but I think Miss Pam took me to Jimmy Walkers sea food in Kemah. Been there since the '40s Some of the best sea food around.
We sat outside up stairs and watched the sailboats and power boats come in. It was a great evening.

I don't even want to remember let alone celebrate my 65th.
Since I am 83, if somehow I could have a 65th birthday, I would be one happy camper.
I turned 62 two days ago and I bought myself a mountain bike for my birthday. I started riding the trails at the lake near my house and was having a blast riding pretty fast through the trees and by a herd of about 7 deer and really enjoying nature. I was surprised at how well I was doing and was in a lot better shape than I expected but all of the sudden I realized that I been going downhill the whole time! Riding uphill was a LOT harder!!!

I celebrated my 65th birthday as I always have. Went to work a couple of days later. I was born on the 26th of December. My parents forgot my first birthday. Didn't bother me any. Never been a fan of birthdays. Most people overlook it.
Retired when I was 70. Birthdays are just another day. As long as I'm vertical and still breathing.

My 65th is next month. Guess that I should start planning.
Mine is coming up soon (11 months) so I'll be celebrating by not having to pay for MY part of the health insurance. Last year on my 63rd birthday was the beginning of the stay at home orders. I bought a new car and a .327 Fed Ruger GP100. Retired April 1st, 2020, 2 weeks later. Next March 16th I just kinda hope to still be alive! Enjoy your birthday.
As I have no plans on retiring at 65, same as any other birthday.
