Hunting photos with the 15-22 lets see them

but every time i would try and feed it or touch it it would go crazy making the most demonic sound you could imagine and try and bite

If you had an injured nose and was in a tiny cage, would you act any differently? :D :D :D

wanna try and tame one,,,,, had wild rabbits at pets just haven't personally had my own pet squirrel just yet

Defending the garden..

Decided to go defend what was left of the garden last night...
1st kill I chose not to post as the impact left a 2" hole...
2nd one is shown, interestingly this one had absolutely no blood at all. Not even a discernible impact spot. Shots taken from 45 and 30 yards respectively.

No pictures uploaded yet but iv harvested 13 raccoons 4 possums.1 skunk 1 rabbit an 9 squirrels in the last two months with my 15-22.. im gonna do some coyote hunting with it short range. Using varmint ammo. And carry my glock for backup

I don't usually shoot the woodchucks, but this one was making a mess in the old miner's cabin that we like to keep looking nice. It's really old and nice to look at/show people a piece of local history.

BOOM...Headshot

If I posted all the gophers I've killed with the 15-22, this thread would need a 56k warning.:D

I don't, but the coyotes do. Then when they get in range...

It's a never ending cycle of fun pest control.

Keeps the eagles and hawks happy too.

The gophers have gone down for the year.:(

Time to work on my own outdoor range.:)
I guess pictures of gophers as targets will have to do until next season.

as a predator only hunter i wouldn't take a shot at a dog (coyote speak in AZ) with a .22, just not ethical as you would have to be really lucky or be a fantastic shot at night with shot placement. I got 59 dogs, 22 greys, and 10 bobs last year with the dog tails kept and tanned, the others tubed and sold at the fur auction. minimum of .223 for dog size and above, like mountain lions out here (always have a tag in my wallet) with 75 grain TAP or 55 grain Fed soft points, depending what AR i use and it's particular twist rate.
as for that fox, its a nice grey with a little red, very nice, would have put a choke pole in there and he would have gotten $25 bux at the auction.
we in AZ just got hunting with unlimited ammo (instead of only 5 centerfire, and now we can hunt with cans so my NFA stamp collection can now be used hunting instead of at the range) We have no season on dogs, but fox and bobs have a long season but starts just a little later in the fall.
i really only use the 15-22 on jack's and cottons, we don't have squirrels in the wild this far down south, or i'd have a pot full of them. No pics with game and the 15-22 since i didn't think anyone would ever ask for pics with something taken. buddy of mine, he had his 10/22, i had my 15-22 and a Ruger MKII w/Cmore site, and we took 65 jacks (no BS)! kept throwing them in a pile.
the Dole company and the other citrus companies love you to shoot the jacks since they chew holes in the rubber drip lines that feed their orange/lemon groves. there are literally hundreds of rabbits in a small grove.
when we went back the next day, the dogs had a smorgasbord cause the pile was gone, except for fur and bones!!!!
I'll start taking pics when we go out, it is dove season now so i'm busy with birds for the next 2 weeks.

as for eating everything you shoot, i have tried coyote....sucked, fox...kinda sucked, but bobcat and mountain lion are delicious! delicate white meat, marinate overnight, then throw on the grill or roast or crock pot, melts in your mouth. then there are all the rattlers we have here, they are good eating also. i'm pretty timid about snakes, so i have gators on until the end of october when they finally go to bed for the winter!

i have neighbors cats running around that sure tempt me to use my .22s...

CB Long primer only's and a can (or 2 liter) work great...through and through...don't ask how i know, this is for information only.

Got 4 big Jacks today while dove hunting. cut out the backstraps, marinating now. Used a shotgun so no 15-22 posts, 10 bird limited out in 25 minutes! on vaca, so back out tomorrow!
